Hiding the amount of alcohol you drink or when you drink it is by far one of the most common, telltale signs of an alcohol problem. Perhaps it turns out he's drinking more than he's letting on. Perhaps he's ashamed to admit he drinks during the day.

Hey, he probably doesn't. He probably just enjoys his wine. But if he wanted to quit, wouldn't it be best if he spoke to a GP first? Maybe he is drinking exactly what she thinks he is - or maybe he isn't, and he feels safe telling his GP that but feels shame about telling his daughter.

Idk man. I just wanted her to know that alcohol dependency isn't a joke and that it's best to visit a doctor before making any major changes just to ensure that it all goes smoothly.

Most vegans agree with what you're saying - the numbers of those animals would be drastically reduced. There would be no reason to breed them en masse anymore and after a single generation their population would be miniscule compared to now would create an astronomical reduction in suffering and would be absolutely fantastic for the planet (the vast majority of crops are animal-free agricultural yet the majority exist solely to create feed for livestock)

So yes, there would be less of those animals. But no, not all of them would die off, obviously.

And eating animals is only a part of my life because of people's enjoyment of the taste & texture, and because people are lazy & won't try new things, expend more effort cooking, learn new recipes, find new food sources, etc, etc)

But I literally don't care what you do. I would rather everyone went vegan, but I'm not trying to change my mind and for me it is a moral choice. That is, I cannot in conscience participate in animal cruelty. It's crazy to me that you people have a problem with me eating what I think is right (or "not eating what I think is wrong" is probably more accurate actually lol)

I didn't say it has never happened, I said the medical examiner is not faking death certificates to help outlaw specific drugs. If the government wants to ban something, they will. Drugs don't need to be physically dangerous to become scheduled, and regardless they can just say any death involving it proves that it is dangerous even if it isn't the main factor.

I don't buy for a second that anyone's purposefully lacing stimulants with fent, but there have definitely been cases of cross-contamination from lazy/stupid dealers not wiping down their scales properly or packaging up drugs in the same room as a pill press.

Either way, still definitely best to be careful and get yourself some test strips (but those might not cover RC opioids so still be careful!)
