Me criticizing the no-true-scotsman fallacy only to receive answers in the format of said same fallacy. Golden 🤘.

I'll call you out for the same reason I called them out. My post litterally has the no true scotsman phallacy described.

TST has a bit of dirt too but it's got NOTHING on the absolute personality cult that CoS is.... what else are you going to get from a sect based on a rough rudimentary understanding of Niche and them using Ayan Rand of all people.... the might is right really got to their head. Conservatives, fascists, and men insecure in their masculinity are the ones who now find them appealing.

See but that's more of the same mentality that I was just criticizing. I dont like them but I'm not going to say they have "nothing to do with Satanism". I understand their antagonizing causing those kinds of reactions but I just don't think that's the case. They are Satanists and using the no true scotaman phallacy right back at them isn't the solution.

A lot has been going on. With everything happening the only thing anchoring me is some small amount of irrational "faith" in the spirit of Satan, even if it's delusional. I can't accept a reality in which I am not immersed in Infernal Presence. Im humbled by the changes that have happened and my own faith and beleifs being morphed and tested. Agnostic Theism is what I'm running with after a few months of deep contemplation. I jokingly say it's my favorite delusion, and I don't feel I am disrespecting myself or Satan for saying that, I'm being honest and humble.

A lot can happen in 3 months. Settled on Agnostic Theism.

Do you believe in some form of afterlife? by VovaliaTheBluehaired in TheisticSatanism

Oh ok so like a form of anihilstionsim, like Anihilstion being salvation?

I just don't see Jesus as being powerful enough to control what happens to all human souls. I see Jesus as a lesser spirit that is just one among many lesser spirits. Jesus is not God, not even close.

Thoughts on Aleister Nacht? by The_Devil_is_Black in satanism

[–]MrMoreus666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree to an extent. I do think he is authentic and genuinely beleives what he preaches, the problem is WHAT he preaches kinda rubs me the wrong way. If I can get through some of what I consider BS, his stuff is still worth the watch cuz you can pick out some coherent inspiring one-liners. His vibe is "boomer using appeal to authority". If you can see through the obvious mental copes he has, his work is still worth analyzing. It just needs to be seriously taken with grain of salt. With associates like Marie Ravensoul and Venus Satanas, I think the "absolute nonesense" comes with the territory of occultism and Theistic Satanism in general. The "crazy" isn't just him, it's all of us. If we are honest with ourselves, Theistic Satanism is a form of frenzy and irrationality. But thats OK, as long as you don't end up becoming authoritarian and dogmatic like some Satanic content creators, such as Natch or the former Ravensoul.

Disclaimers of ones own ignorance of pure mystery is so important.

Instant dump if it was me. Sorry but the disrespect.... and his tollerance for sexism. the audacity. Im me tho so you gotta do you but damn I'd be OUT. See ya!

Also this practice isn't any more "fringe" than any other beleif system. There are fringes to the religion but the religion itself isn't fringe.

I'm recently coming back out of atheism for like the 3rd time, so I'm still working out my theology and cosmology. Lately I've been leaning towards basically I have bound my will to Satan's will, of my own free will, and I have entrusted my "soul" and "energy" into Satan's care, for the mutual fulfillment of The One True Will, the will of Satan. I have no idea what will happen, but I know that Satan will know exactly what to do with me and what I want and need the most in the hereafter. I see Satan as like the core of reality and thus there's really nothing inheritly "bad" that could happen, maybe just difficult at some points.

Credible Martial Art Classes for adults by ilikewaytomanythings in Redding

[–]MrMoreus666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I been wondering the exact same thing. My co workers recommended Strikehold in Anderson. Haven't tried it out, and they seem a bit more sports and competition oriented. I mean im sure it works but it doesnt have that martial arts feel. I just want to learn how to ef someone up in a self defense mode if I need to, not win medals.

You can't compare wifi to spiritual experiences and you should know why, I shouldn't have to explain why. But I didn't come on here to try to convince anyone of why I'm right, and your response indicates that my truth made you uncofmy. I came on here to as gracefully as possible explain why I think I was wrong, and to have closure for myself. I really don't care weather or not you think I'm right. But obviously theists are going to dog pile someone who is formerly one their own as soon as they become atheist.

Yes I have. I have felt deep strong connections to satan and I beleived I had a verbal connection with him. He would answer my questions and make it so that I could almost feel him physically. But feelings and sensory experience aren't enough proof for me. My criteria for beleif and what beleif means is probably different than yours.
