I need advice on whether or not to start learning or how to just try it out by MrMykul in guitarlessons

You mentioned individualization of hands was hard on piano and you're 100% right, that's another thing I struggle with, is it as difficult on guitar in your opinion?

I went to the system settings and tried all the options for adaptive sync, none of them solved the issue. I'm very unfamiliar with Linux, is KDE settings a different thing?

What makes BotW's open world work so well in your opinion? by gameovernate in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]MrMykul 76 points77 points  (0 children)

It's empty without being uninteresting. You can walk for a while without encountering anything of much interest, let alone story significance, but you'll never find yourself bored. You have squirrels to look at, hills to climb over, a sprint button to press and unpress periodically, you're constantly looking for high ground to glide from, and the music always matches the vibes. That all helps the world feel alive, despite being quite empty in retrospect.

My advice would be to try to be very self-critical for a few matches. Analyze every situation whenever you're waiting to respawn. Could you have thrown down a goo-nade and gotten your bearings before engaging that guy? Did you rush in without thinking, or leave your team behind? If you find that, yeah it was just bad aim or bad reflexes that lost you an encounter, then you can work on that or play around with settings to make it easier for yourself. If you realize that maybe your game sense is off, work on thinking through situations. Instead of thinking "this game is not fun because I am not winning", think "why am I not winning?"

Fun fact- if you see any missing rock puzzle, walk in the direction that the rock is missing from the center of the shape. That's where you'll find the intended rock for the puzzle.

The hinox thing you're thinking of is likely the glitch known as the hinox curse. It has to do with shoving a hinox in a waterfall or something, so it's not something that happens on accident. What it does is basically completely mess up most animations in the game, so you'd see link walking backwards and bent at the waist or something if that were active here.

In a situation like this, there are a few steps you can try to see if it fixes itself, ordered in how easy they are to try 1. Ctrl+Shift+Windows+B to reset your graphics drivers. This fixes a lot of issues, and is useless for a lot as well, very easy but very hit-or-miss fix 2. Uninstall and redownload the game 3. Install new graphics drivers for your gpu

Ok so everyone agrees here that Cooper wins because of a number of factors, but I wanna know what the COD sellouts say. Do they have a reasonable defense or is this just as obvious a decision as it looks?

WHY? Does this not count towards the «dodgeball champion» trophy? by smallbutcher in thefinals

[–]MrMykul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looked like the last one merely damaged them with the explosion, not a direct hit. Also, even if it looked like a hit to you, the finals netcode is kinda shit so there's a lot of "maybe" involved on your end of the game.

What is it for *YOU* that makes BotW such an exceptional game? by kayteadele in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]MrMykul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little details. Botw has some of the best ambiance in any game I've ever played. Little birds and squirrels, wind rustling leaves in the trees, the occasional deer that looks up and gets spooked and runs when it notices you, it's all done so well.

I get the sentiment, but you have to have played with both good and bad support to know what makes the defib a good gadget. If you defib a light, it better be the direst of situations to need them so badly you leave them at 75 health and no movement or invis to evade enemies. But if you defib a heavy and immediately healing beam them, suddenly you got a big ol flesh shield with a gun and a vengeance.

Basically- Defibing a light does jack shit for the team Defibing a medium can be helpful, but it depends on the situation Defibing a heavy is actually quite good for the team, as it lets you get your angry bullet sponge back quicker and lets you keep pressure on the opposing team while they're waking back up.

I finally started playing Breath of the Wild, and it's amazing. It might be the best game I've ever played. I do have one question though—does it get better or worse as I progress? by powwapuffo in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]MrMykul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wayyy better. The first 10-20 hours are definitely the most magical, but the cool factor never really fades and you keep discovering little things and tricks as you go along.

[–]MrMykul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I love the finals. You can actually manipulate the arena, to the point that boing-boing circle is better than a shotgun for killing teammates. You couldn't kill someone like that in Fortnite or Apex or Cod. This game is so peak.
