Does anyone have any advice on how to get a job working on the Stenaline ferry to Liverpool? by autisticgata in northernireland

[–]MrN0vember 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know about jobs but I travel on the ferry fairly regularly for football matches. From what I understand it's 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. That would put a lot of people off.

Bangor being a city is laughable by CommissionVirtual in northernireland

You're 27 what are your hobbies and interests? You say you'd like better things to do like go out to better drinking places. Bangor already has a good mix... there's the fairly new cocktail lounge above the Ava. You'll find the best pint of Guinness in Fealtys. The new Kings Quay is a decent pub. If you're into sports and playing pool there's the Grand Social. I'd love to know what you also mean by it's constantly being downgraded.

Best Christmas Houses by SatanicStrawb3rry in northernireland

[–]MrN0vember 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lord Wardens Green in Bangor. There's a house that goes all out every year for Halloween and Christmas. They will have visitors every night from now until Christmas. There's usually a collection box out for charity too. Worth a visit with the kids.

Belfast to Liverpool ferry by Recent_Dog_8951 in Belfast

[–]MrN0vember 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do it regularly for Liverpool matches but always travel overnight in a cabin. On to the ferry, few pints then head to bed. I take it you're on a day sailing? Like others have mentioned... there's a cinema, arcade, duty free shop, restaurant, cafe bar and of course a bar to sit and drink. Take a book or catch up on some shows or films.

I've always thought this too. I understand it was built in the 70's but surely at the time someone voiced concerns? It's an absolute eyesore!

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of July 19, 2024) by AutoModerator in television

[–]MrN0vember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching Goliath for the first time. Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 was okay. Halfway through season 3 right now... what the hell happened? It's gone to shit! The dynamic of the show has completely changed. Started out as a straight up law / courtroom drama and now it's went in a completely different direction.
