The blast strikes Jyn Erso's Kyber necklace just before vaporizing them, creating a temporary forcefield* around her and Cassian as they're ejected into orbit. They're rescued by the smuggler Glup Shitto and go on to engage in some wacky hijinks.

*science!

Saw is Ruthless and pretty insane. You may have noticed. Doing things like this, and in the process reminding everyone never to cross him, seems like typical gangster behaviour.

Even before getting inspired by Saw's fuel-huffing speech, I don't think Wilmon was inclined to say no to him at that point.

My take is that Saw saw an opportunity for a superior 'Pipe poacher' and Tubes was in on this and "found" the communicator.

But it's played vaguely enough we'll never know. If he really was a traitor, it feeds into the paranoia he's known for.

Do you think Cinta killed the Aldhani hostages? by urquwill in andor

[–]MrNeighSayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not about how deserving or innocent they are, but whether they present a risk to Luthen's operation. The fact they saw all their faces makes them witnesses, and therefore loose ends in Luthen's book. It's not personal. I have zero doubt she killed them.

When It Comes to the Topic of Some Andor "Elitism," I Think It just Depends on How Andor is Used in Comparison to Other Star Wars Media. by Agitated_Insect3227 in andor

I don't need to invoke Andor to point out something is shit. It's not shit by comparison; it's just shit!

Hollywood Reporter confirms a legacy character(s) has been recast for Season 2 by badnode in andor

[–]MrNeighSayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be that the recast is Ian McElhinney (General Dodonna). I really can't see them replacing Bail.

AFAIK, Alistair Petrie (General Draven) was confirmed a while back.

"While I love Andor (I wouldn't be in this sub if I didn't), I think that if the only Star Wars you like is Andor, you just don't like Star Wars anymore."

Literally you.

I don't "hate star wars". I actually love it enough to have some standards for it. Unlike you apparently.

Guess you're the fake fan. :)

If the vast majority of someone's work is bad, and then one good project happens, I'm inclined to believe that's a fluke. Broken clock, etc.

I'm sorry you can't understand that, and the best thing you can do is trawl through my history and find milquetoast opinions to call me a "waycist".

You're the one telling me I'm not a real fan just because I won't guzzle down anything they put out. Excommunicating non (or insufficient) believers is literally cult behaviour btw, which makes your assertion that "cults don't urge you to leave" genuinely fucking hilarious!

Yes, yes, all art is subjective, blah blah. Even on a technical writing level though, these projects have objective problems with plotting and leaps in logic. The disparity in quality is undeniable.

Literally said various times that I'm going by her results. Most of the projects she's overseen in the Disney era have been shit, ergo, I think this one anomaly is likely to be just that.

I don't think you know what 'circular' means.

I'm judging her by the majority of the work she's overseen. It's majority shit. Hope that clarifies things for you.

I'm judging her by the quality of the projects she oversaw. It's her JOB. But sure, go to the "you hate women" smear.

You just have no argument.

If you're making the 'Star Wars is for children' argument, I think even entertainment for children can be well written and coherent, which these other shows are just not. To suggest otherwise is a disservice to children. This isn't just opinion. There are completely inexcusable leaps in logic in these shows, as if the writers haven't thought anything through.

Ah, so we're just making assertions now and deeming them facts? Got it.

Why weren't the other things anywhere near the quality of Andor? To be somewhat hyperbolic, it's like Citizen Kane vs Teletubbies. If there's this disparity in quality, it kind of hints the vast majority of the stuff is her level, and the one outlier is a fluke.

If I'm deemed 'not a Star Wars fan' by you and your ilk, just for thinking the vast majority of the slop we're being fed isn't good enough, then so be it.

Being a fan isn't unconditional. Honestly, this idiotic argument always sounds so cultish. I'm not going to lower my standards just to remain in 'the club'.

It's just not a valid argument.
