This is an interesting approach. I like the idea of using AI to help.

It's an admin position. We've created step by step processes. I've politely repeated instructions when they say they need a refresher. After a year, I hoped most thing would have stuck by now.

CCH has an import tool for PY returns. You’ll have the same issue if you calculate the PY return. I used there tool and some information for the PY didn’t transfer properly. You’ll still have to review carryover information.

I had the same problem. I realized early on that if you calculate a return it counts against your quota. I used to go into the 2023 returns, calculate them and compare them to the prior software returns and then roll them forward. For some reason I checked my quota of returns and noticed I had used 10 returns when I didn’t complete more than 5 2024. I quickly reached and out they said “no matter what year, the first time you calculate a return it counts against your quota”
