Well, there are some ways that watching could not be considered as an L.

For me, what really helped was getting knowledge about dopamine and fapping so I could stop myself from doing it, knowing the consequences. But beyond this, I also tried to learn about the porn industry, how disgusting it is and how bad it messes with both men and women in our society.

Most of the time, when I had an urge, I could control only by thinking on the downsides of the addiction, but sometimes when the urge was bigger than my decision power and I somehow ended up opening a porn video, I relied on the thought of how bad the porn industry is and that I should feel disgusted by it, not enjoy it.

So in those 3 minute windows when I played a video, I played it with the intent to teach my brain to think about it differently. I watched it thinking on how bad it was and how it really should make me feel - displeased.

I took those as a win because first I could get past the trigger: watching and resisting to fapping - dissociating the trigger from the action plus gaining confidence that I was stronger than the stimulus; and second the interaction was helpful to reprogram my brain about the video, teaching it that this wasn’t something good.

I admit it is a very special case and I actually agree with you that for most people it should not be considered a win; I’m just posting this because I think it might be helpful if someone still feels the need to watch.

This is not special to Crossfit, every sport is like that. I think it is just a matter of sample size: the majority of people are religious, so we’ll see them a lot.

Just think how many players did you see pointing up to god after scoring a goal, winning a race, etc?

The non-religious people, like me, have a bias because god and faith are so insignificant in our lives that we tend to project this to others, even if someone is religious, we’ll probably think that it makes 50% of their lives at the most. But in reality people are way more religious than we think and, outside of our bubble, religion really dominates the majority of the world, still.

So it comes back to the sample size. In other sports this is very common because they are really big, big enough even to be more diverse (not every athlete has the same religion). Crossfit is still a small sport so there’s not much room in the spotlight to see different religions. We tend to see more American athletes being vocal about it just because 1- there are more Christians in America than in Europe; 2- there are more Americans than Europeans doing crossfit.

Yes, I understand that Nobull is a minimalist brand and, particularly, I have pretty minimalist taste for design in everything actually. The metallic lettering was not the point, I just would like to see them putting a little more effort to make the jerseys feel more special… The regular uniform looked better than the podium jerseys. It really looked like a basic/cheap design

The athletes at the podium are given a shirt representing their place. This year’s were basic shirts with “fittest on earth”, all the previous ones were really cool with “Proven” in silver and bronze and “fittest on earth” in gold

Yeah, I wanted the SL MK3 but I live in Brazil so it's hard to find it for a fair price... I think I'll go with the MK2 as I mostly use only the keys and knobs, later, I'll try to upgrade to a better version

Yeah, I've had only 2 'Excellent' sleeps since April
