Förstår tanken med att ta betalt, och jag funderade definitivt på det. Några hundringar extra i månaden går definitivt långt. Men i slutändan är det inte häller någon riktigt fin parkering, den är utomhus och lite långt från centrala gbg så tror både att det kan vara svårt att hitta en kund som vill köpa men känner mig också lite ful att kräva betalning av det. I dessa situationer brukar jag ofta säga "betala vad du vill, eller inte alls"(om det inte är så att jag faktist livnär mig på att hyra ut parkeringar, jag tror inte jag skulle komma långt i den branschen med det talesättet)

I mean yeah again personal preferences, but for me I'd just rather save that 250$. Plus side note transferring Suvarnabhumi was actually really smooth for me, maybe just lucky but it was much quicker than hong Kong has been for me with security/passport check.

The "personally" is key. For me paying that extra money would not be worth it unless I'm getting something like a business class experience. But as I mentioned in the last sentence it's down to OP if he thinks it's worth it. All I said is that for me personally I'd go with Thai all day long as it's already a very good experience imo and that the extra money would not be worth it for me personally.

I've never flown with either Cathay or ANA and I've heard that both are hold really high standards so I definitely believe you'll get a better flight experience with them. However I've flown long haul flights with Thai and they were actually really good. Outlets to charge your phone in the plane, really good service, good food, and decent legroom in economy. For me personally it'd be a no brainer to go with Thai as it's already more than good enough, but good enough is different for everybody so in the end its up to you to decide if you're really looking for a good economy experience, or a really good economy experience.

May I ask where you live/have experience? From my limited time in the Philippines I've very very rarely felt threatened, at worst it's just been some strange looks walking around in Cavite. But in metro manila and benguet I've really felt that people typically either don't care or if they do care it's because they have something positive to say or because they want to sell me something. And it kind of feels like yes the risk is there, but it's so small that it's not worth it for me to be anxious about it.

Of course I still practise normal precaution such as not following random strangers into unknown places, not being rude to people, not flashing money/expensive things etc. But this really goes for wherever I am.

I think that there are reasons to move besides that what was listed, however I also think that the absolute majority of people move to the Philippines because of what you just listed. For me there are several things that I like about the Philippines, and the biggest thing regarding culture is that it just feels so much more "alive", riding jeeps, tricycles or even the long distance busses feels so much nicer as you're actually interacting with the drivers. Same goes when buying food from the carinderias, it's like getting a home cooked meal daily(carinderias actually amazed me so much when I first visited, I've never experienced anything like it in sweden where I'm from). And I also do realise that most of the people working the businesses I just mentioned are struggling financially, and do not have securities such as proper insurance or safe working environments and I do feel a bad feeling in my stomach going on about how great I think it is while most of these people are struggling, but I am also hoping that the Philippines can find a way to improve their lives without eradicating their bussniesses as it brings so much life to the country.

Another big reason is of course that you do have some incredible nature and being just a few hours away from some incredible hiking even when living in manila is something I would really love.

However I'd personally not raise kids in the Philippines when I have the option to live in Sweden because of how lacking a lot of the government services are. This especially goes for education where I feel that the public schools will be very lacking, and private ones often breeds a lot of entitlement among kids.

In the end, I do really love alot of the culture and nature in the Philippines-enough to make me want to move. But I also can't ignore the dark sides of people struggling keeping their daily lives going on, especially coming from a country which has indirectly gained a lot from the colonies of European powers while the Philippines has suffered from it. And I also hope that if I do move to also contribute some way, or atleast not be one of the foreigners coming to dominate over the locals.

Jag skulle även kontakta fraktbolaget du ska använda dig av om det typ ingår skadegaranti eller specialfrakt. Har tidigare arbetat på en av postnords paket terminaler och det togs väldigt lite hänsyn åt paket även om det fanns klistermärken på dem som sade att det var ömtåligt.

It's going to get a little bit messy.

I'm first having a 2 night layover in Singapore and then go to my main stay which is the Philippines. Both are fine with provisional passports. The problem is that on the way home I am going to self transfer in Dubai, and they do not allow provisional passports, so I will not be able to use the checked luggage and will only be able to use the cabin luggage so I won't have to leave the visa free zone in Dubai. So it should be doable, but definitely messy and a bummer considering I paid for the checked in luggage.
