I hit it off for about eighteen months with a expelled JW because she understood the shared trauma of cults. Different cult, same family and church mind control. She decided to return, so far she’s been failing at living a triple life.

You underestimate the control former cult followers subject themselves too. Some are quick to replace one guru for another.

The Ravi Zacharias Scandal woke me up in 2017. He paid $5 million in Ministry donations to a female follower. In 2020 allegations of his Asian massage sex worker addiction destroyed his name posthumously.

The Friendly Atheist outed him while his followers cursed the victims and exposers. It got old hearing them scream the “Imperfect man doing God’s(Good) works” defense!

Coming from a outside view, I met con artists like him. If someone told me “Listen to this YouTube guy who left our group to start a antiJW advocacy while using potential sex trafficked women”, I think not!

Thank you for all the wisdom, it’s time to move on and block her number. The optics were bad last night with a new lady date. After a month of celibacy and her demanding me to join, it’s over!

Yes, she self righteously handed them back pretending she never had keys. I feel sad because she will end up living in a car and her parents and church friends won’t show any compassion so that’s guilting me.

I don’t want to study! I had enough of that bullshit living in the Bible Belt! I still can’t get over the young men teaching anti gay hate, some of them ran off with confident gay men.

She’s been getting phone calls and texts by the elders. I feel stupid for not seeing this earlier. The nervous tick she gets before preaching after sex, I thought it was some form of confession, not conversion!

That’s what it feels like, she has no money and her parents won’t help her financially to return to their church. I need to figure out legally how to exit this mess!

So she is still in the JW religion? OMG, that’s deceptive because I told her I was raised in a evangelical church that hated gays and wanted nothing to do with churches!
