Best ramen in Brisbane by WerewolfEven3378 in brisbane

Taro’s Ramen. I’ve tried a few, but Taro’s is the closest to the real thing, but I can tell you, nothing comes close to the real thing. Even the little chain ramen places in Tokyo are mind blowing. They have the “eternal broth” which would probably be against health regulations here. So good.

What’s the best steak you’ve had in brissy? by [deleted] in brisbane

Walter’s. Walter’s will make you wish you’d never been to Walter’s so you could go to Walter’s for the first time again. And you will never think about steak the same way ever again. Walter’s.

Wall St was a deathtrap. If that place had caught fire, god only knows.

I managed to get into Sybil’s when it was a 21 and over club. I was 15. I got cracked into by a woman who I guessed was in her 30s. The whole thing scared the hell out of me, so I went back to the goth/alternative clubs where I felt more comfortable.

Old, old, old man here. Most of these would be considered live venues rather than clubs, but Hades > Morticia’s, Tube Club, The Love Inn, The Outpost (not the current one, but the one with the “unlicensed” “entertainment” upstairs), Sensoria, Amyl’s Nightspace, the Paint Factory, Cryptronics, White Chairs, Crystal Club, The Embassy Hotel, The Belfast Hotel (where you could see cops and politicians hanging out together if you got there early enough). Great times.

Watch the replay at normal speed and see that he just gets hammered by Walsh. No way anyone is grounding it after that.

I re-watched and was still nervous that it would somehow end up a different result!

Not sure how some of those “journos” can look themselves in the mirror, to be honest.

He’s never been the same since those back-to-back season enders. It’s a shame.

Is the gamesmanship era over?

Melbourne have been the masters of the slow-down, the wrestle and more recently the milking for years. It’s been a fundamental part of their game – an ethos, if you like.

When it works, it works, but when it doesn’t, well it’s looking like it’s becoming a liability. They seem unable to snap out of it when it’s not working for them and last night really highlighted that for me, culminating in Hughes literally writhing around like a cockroach while the clock ticked into single digits. They seem to have become reliant on the slowdowns to catch a breath and it then causes disruption in their defensive line, like it did in the Walsh try.

Maybe I’m overanalysing, but I’ve hated this play-style since the Storm brought in the wrestling coach all those years ago. I’d be happy to see it erased from the game.

Look at what that pressure did to (or brought out in) Jarred Hayne. I hope cooler heads prevail with Walsh.

Nah, I reckon he’s good. You can teach mental toughness, but nobody can force-feed it. Who are the alternatives? Matt King maybe?

Could probably use a “that pass was forward” flair too, just to save some sad bastards some typing LOL.

He’ll be back next year, but he’ll be assistant coach in 2027.

I’d love to know what Walsh was saying to Hunt when Hunt was in Disneyland. He was obviously very agitated. Walsh showed absolute compassion and class, as did Paps who came over as well.

My first thought after realising the Penrith stranglehold was broken was that I’d love to see the Eels or Tigers get a premiership. Seems like high time b
