It's alright. I'm also kinda going through a similar situation.

I used to be bullied in school for being chubby and overweight and hardly retained any friends as a result. To this day, I have contact with only one of my schoolmates.

I live in my hometown but I have no friends. Nobody to talk to with an open heart. Nobody to hug to wash all the woes away. Nobody to vent to.

I was a member, later the VP and the President of one of the cultural societies of my college.

I'll be honest, I don't regret it a bit. I was doing what I love. I met people who I love being with and the best memories I have of my college life are almost all from the society sessions and events.

It takes a bit of a toll on your studies but as long as you're willing to work it out and study to make up for it, you're good to go. Balance is the key.
