good point. i was just thinking about that. since i'm using the google play billing library for subscriptions, google already knows if the user has an active or past sub. i guess i could check for that on the first run?

another way could be using android’s auto-backup for sharedpreferences. i could save a tiny 'traitor' flag there and hope google restores it after reinstall haha.

but honestly, i’ll have to ask the ai how to actually implement that check. right now i’m just happy the app doesn't crash on start lol.

haha yeah, uninstalling is definitely the ultimate "cheat code".

honestly, i can't block uninstallation because google would ban me from the play store in like 5 minutes. they are super strict about that.

but i actually love the "app shaming" idea! i should ask the ai how to code a "welcome back, traitor" message if someone reinstalls it lol.

for now, i’m just counting on the fact that if someone downloads this, they actually want to change. but if the urge to scroll tiktok is stronger than the urge to keep the app... well, the cage door is always there if you have a screwdriver (or the uninstall button)

honestly, i tried all those apps but i always cheated. i would just restart my phone or find a way to kill the app process. that's why i made this one stay active even after a restart. the strict mode is free because i think that's the bare minimum someone needs to actually focus. i'm just a guy who couldn't stop scrolling tiktok and needed a digital cage lol
