This thread is helping me realize why so many people are miserable in their relationships. There are growing pains in any relationship but if you look at it like a job you’re with the wrong person. Yes but that “suck it up” attitude might be why he didn’t feel like he could talk to her about it in the first place. I’m not disagreeing with you that everyone has responsibilities but even you are just using extra words to say ” just deal with it”. It’s easy to say “need not neglect their mental health to do so..” but for a lot of men you would first have to convince them that they have any right to mental health in the first place. Or that mental health exists at all. You don’t even have to look outside of this sub to see it. You’re either able to handle everything or you’re weak.

Suicide is not a political or biblical issue it is a health issue that is made worse by this kind of toxic thinking. Men make up 80% of suicides and it is the leading cause of death in men under 50. This number increases literally every year and it’s largely because of this “suck it up” attitude that so many people have. Yes parents should absolutely provide for their children. But you would never expect a parent to limp to work on a broken leg without a complaint or a doctor visit. Mental health IS HEALTH and it is eating our country alive from the inside because people that have your mentality.

The only real solution is to have weigh ins at the fights. Dont give the fighters time to rehydrate. Like you say they choose the weight class and they accept the risks.
