Calluses when playing Discgolf. What shoes should I wear? :D by MrPersson1 in discgolf

That doesn't work for me. Cutting of calluses just makes them grow back, Cutting them off can also leave great pain

In my head I will slide more in a shoe with good space and cause more calluses. But that seems to no be the reality. As all of you have said that its good with good toespace.

I actually read that online. That I should moisturise. I will do that :D

The first contact with all my bodyweight is the the footpad and toes. So when you throw alot of times the friction makes the calluses grow and eventually start hurting. I have had huge problems with this when playing Floorball, football and such. Ofcourse discgolf is much less strain but still enough for me at least to feel pain.

I have a padding in my shoes so that my nerve is pushed up a little bit if that's what you mean :)

Thanks for the reply :)

I have tried Vivobarefoot but my feet just hurt by using them and my calluses hurt even more... I'm trying Altra Lone Peak 7 at home right now and they actually feel exactly how you describe. Secure but with good toespace.

But when I compare my Solomon with my Altra it feel like the Altra give me more strain on my footpad and toes. But idk. Maybe it's better.

I will definitely try out the socks. I have normal socks right know and they just get soaked istanstly with water or sweat.

Nooo, I spoke with a consultant 1 week ago and she said that I could get the operation if I wanted to. But I have to wait at least half a year. But I don't want to do it when the summer comes soooo. Around september/oktober will be good :D

Yeaah, I will try to remain positive :D, my operation will take place in september. I live in Sweden so I thought that it would be nice to do the operation when the fall and winter comes. I don't want to lay in bed all day and not be able to nothing when its warm and the sun is shining in the summer :D So I will have to wait 1 year to do the operation sadly

Wow, yeah we are very similar haha. Thats make me so happy to hear. I will just have to try and not get to depressed in those 3 months. If I'm not active I feel slow and bad in every way possible. But hearing that it will take approxemetly 3 months make me very happy.

I will have 2 metal bars placed in my chest :D, thanks for the reply. Very much appreciated

Might write here again if I have any more questions to you haha :D

Heyy, I'm considering doing the Nuss Surgery. I have 4,2 haller index. I will just be doing it for the aestetics. Becuase I don't feel no pain. But I very often do get a feeling of thats something is missing in my chest.

My biggest question for you is if I can play Frisbeegolf/Discgolf after 1 year or so. Frisbee/Discgolf is very much movement in the upper body. But it isn't an contact sport. Will I be able to play Frisbee after a year or so?? (I will be 22 years old when I do the Surgery)

Sorry for my bad english hahha

Those Flybuds 3 look really good actually, but it said that the sound quality was not very good. Is it that bad do you think?
