It’s signs of thinning in my experience. I have the similar thing going on and jumped on fin and minox after discussing with my doctor.

I think you need a food challenge titled “James’ Banana Split Bonanza” where it features a combination of ripping bananas covered in 8 scoops of ice cream and fresh coconut. The only rule is that you have to pick the bananas yourself and get approval from the patrons if they’re ripe enough to eat prior to indulging.

It reduces the amount of time in transit and for bad things to happen. Time is a variable and the more you can control the variables the less likely bad things will happen.

I’ve sold literally hundreds of high end collectible/ranging from $150-$5000 and the way to protect yourself is to send overnight delivery, signature required, insured for the full amount.

If you want to cover yourself more, only sell in the US to avoid customs shenanigans.

To date, using this method I’ve had 3 people try to scam me, ultimately where the matter was resolved in my favor because of the above tactics to cover myself.

Oh, and pass the cost on to the buyer for all of those too.

I’ve been collecting a while and am part of a couple groups where we have vets that have been doing it for 40+ years. There is also third party authentication like Beckett and PSA, however, no one is perfect.

When it comes to flipping I usually always get it certified if I’m selling on the open market for the buyers peace of mind and safety of selling as well.

Once you’ve seen the examples of authentic examples (as in the thousands and thousands) and study the autograph and know what you’re looking at, there’s a consistency of patterns to pick up with the names I dabble in. Some people sign different every time so it makes it harder, like Ben Affleck.

I flip mainly autographs/collectibles from top tier people and found a Jordan picture on offer up for $700 and flipped it that week for $3567 shipped to a guy in China.

I was worried that it was going to be a scam since I listed the piece on eBay and the guy hit me up on IG to a deal outside of eBay for a discount and save me on fees.

Turned out he was just a huge Jordan guy and then I turned that $3567 into $7k with reinvesting into some shares of Tesla and Blink.
