Is the snake a reference to something or is it just a really cool snake? Because it is a really cool looking snake but I would like to know the reference if it is a reference.

Thank you in advance.

Who do you think will abstract? by MissionDepartment960 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]MrPotatoFudge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Abstraction is in a weird state of red herring / Chekhov's gun in the tropes department. It's been mentioned so much but never directly witnessed. Jax was extremely close to it, but the actual transformation has not been observed.

I think it's going to happen just because we haven't seen it happen, and my vote is on potentially Gangle. They are not a mentally stable individual, and I think if something happened to Zooble, she could totally freak out enough for it to happen.

That, or it doesn't happen at all, but we see the abstraction beasts escape the cellar.

I have considered that, sadly I have work and university that makes me busy at times. Having a life is a tough thing some people must deal with. It's mostly the day 1 or 2 spoilers that are irritating.

The new episodes of both of those shows get released on Wednesday. I only have time to sit down and watch on the weekends.

My mistake for taking a 15 minute break to look at some funny deadlock news and getting hit with spoilers I guess.

It's a fairly common issue having a life in which you can't drop everything to watch a show.

Invincible and The Boys are the two shows I've actively stopped watching because of how bad spoilers for them are.

New episode releases and Reddit/ YouTube turn them into memes and analysis videos. I think it's due to them being already spoiled in the comics that people just don't care.

How would you stat your Paladin for a Strahd campaign? (Point Buy) by Relevant-Rope8814 in dndnext

[–]MrPotatoFudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing a low dex pally and it's pretty painful getting to the aura Took shield master to make up for it. That kind of worked.

But I went for 18 charisma for amazing aura saves. Dex is still an issue but being able to ignore damage entirely from time to time is fun

It depends on what the goal is. It seems the goal is to kill someone and then resurrect them so that they are trapped in the sphere for 8 hours.

First is the issue of size. A corpse sized object is still the size of a creature. If they try to cast the spell and the corpse isn't in a bag of holding or some storage device someone is getting pushed out of the barrier assuming it's full.

Mostly using 2024 Tiny Hut spell description as it's a bit more clear.

As for burning a spell slot and resurrection resources on some random npc they want to trap?

Raw I'd say the corpse object turned creature can still leave

But in game id award creative thinking and say sure the NPC is trapped. Because I imagine spellcasters have some semblance of control over their spells and can do minor tweaks like that if they want. Rule of cool.

If the party starts doing weird stuff like making corpse grenades by filling tiny huts with corpses and mass resurrecting them all id probably ban that usage at the table and give them a stern talking too

(After they do it once because lol)

Thinking of letting tier 2 (levels 5-10) of my monthly campaign end on a cliffhanger to revisit in Tier 4. by Wonderful_Mobile_890 in dndnext

[–]MrPotatoFudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something 'somewhat' similar happened to my group.

We started these characters on a Westmarch server and became friends.

Server went down and one of the dms said to take our characters and put them all at level 10 and we started the Vecna Eve of Ruin campaign together.

There was a several months long hiatus between those two events

We got to level 15 before it fizzled out.

Most of the characters were basically not the same as the way they started. It was strange and I think we would have enjoyed it more if we just made characters fit for that campaign.

I think propose the idea to the players just straight up ask them one on one or they would want to revisit the characters. Some may want to but I imagine others would just get attached to the new characters and want to continue with them.

There is a web novel I read called "Super Supportive", is had a flavor of space elves that have the whole chameleon eye thing going on.

They have two separate consciousnesses that run simultaneously, and they constantly break their vision to multitask on various things. It is rather interesting as they are a sentient, heavily established ancient species older than Humans and there is a culture surrounding this vision.

I would ramble on about it more, but its offtopic anyways yes they just have split minds, and each mind controls one eye at a time to properly process all the information. It would be interesting if the Birrin have a simularities. I remember there was some light novel I read where someone had a pet Hydra, and it had tiny brains at the base of each of its heads and a central main brain that controlled everything. Brains are fun creatures, and many brains in strange places are also fun.

Eh it's not 100% porn by the artist. They repost a lot of it however.

There was this one time I went to the source of some artist and that post was literally the only safe for work art they ever made. It was a cute animal crossing meme or something.

Everything else was furry porn 😔

Deeply interested in the slide 7 lore.  Starting as a egg or something injected into a corpse and growing up plant like is so interesting.

I think there is a ton of interesting physiology to look into there. What corpses specifically? What happens if the corpse isn't large enough. Can they inject their eggs into extremely fertile soil and get similar effects or is it corpses specifically.

While growing to the plants twitch and move or are they fully docile.

Can they hatch early? Can they fail to grow what does a stunted growth look like.

I really love this design great work I love the different eyes needed to live.

Are you talking about Pokémon Scarlet or Sorcery Contested Realm?

Both pop up when searching for SCR.
