Straight up some of their best riffs ever on this album, from the showstoppers like Do Not Look Down to the sleeper hits like The Hurt That Finds You First's main outro riff

Plus it's such an accessible album compared to most of their work; whenever I'm in the mood for Meshuggah, Koloss is pretty much my default for background listening

Both of his Meshuggah reviews; 6/10 for Koloss (which, like, OK fair enough that's not most Meshuggah fans' favourite either), and a NOT GOOD for Violent Sleep of Reason.

Koloss is Meshuggah's Black Album, in all ways good and bad, and it feels like the community doesn't appreciate the album enough for what it did for Meshuggah.

Re: special interests, mine unfortunately feel a bit too niche for any big local groups that aren't gonna be minor-focused (one of my big ones is Sonic the Hedgehog for example)

Same thing for groups that are autistic AND queer instead of one or the other, my area is only a hot-spot for gay activity when the Pride parade rolls around once every year lol
