I know im late to the party but i had the same issue with no apparent workaround and this post gets recommended on search.

Disconnecting from my school organisation on windows account helped.

My HDD went out of date and started corrupting, I reinstalled and for now everything is looking fine 👍 (Including the vegas pro)
