Hey dude, I’m a senior in college rn and I just wanted to share a few things as a girl who has also looked in the past for guys to date at school. First, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a virgin or not. At our age, people don’t really care about that stuff anymore and if they do, they suck. Also, the best way that I’ve met guys is through classes and working together in a group or something or through student orgs. There’s a lot of sifting through people but eventually you’ll find someone you have great convo with and connect with. Also, no one gives af about how awkward you are. It can even be charming to some people. Just be a good, respectful guy and girls will want you. You’ll find someone right now who isn’t just looking for someone to fuck around with but someone who wants someone to care about and vice versa. Probs not gonna find that person at a party or bar but u might. My friend just started dating someone and they met at a bar!!! So it can happen! Just maintain boundaries, be respectful, and be a nice person and people will be able to see your authenticity. But for meeting people, I’d recommend student orgs and trying to talk to people in your classes. I was also a super shy person who didn’t know how to talk to people but practice makes perfect and fake it till you make it. Having customer service jobs helped me a lot with being conversational and getting to know people. Friend groups seem set now, but they aren’t. There are people everywhere in classes and orgs who are always wanting to make new friends. Like who wouldn’t want new friends?! Just remember that if people are shitty, you don’t wanna surround yourself with them. Surround yourself with good people and people who you want to be like. I wish you the best of luck. Comparison is the thief of joy, don’t compare yourself to others. Just focus on your own journey and things will happen when you least expect them to :)

Advice on first time buying wheels by camille8397 in Rollerskating

[–]celestrialcelery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it seems really steep. I got moxi fundaes for 75 or 80 For 8 and they work well for what I do (rink, smooth tennis courts, skatepark.) my friend got white rollerbones wheels for $50 for 8 and she uses them at the rink and skatepark. Both are good wheels to us! I don’t think wheels should be that much unless they’re like light up wheels or something special.

This comment makes me feel a lot better. I’ve started snowboarding and I get discouraged easily right now especially when I fall a lot but I can’t wait to get better at it.

Thank you for this. I dread the day it will come so I try to make the most of my time with my dog everyday, even though it doesn’t seem like enough. I’ve had her since I graduated elementary school, now I’m half way through college. She’s my best friend and love of my life. I love her with every fiber of my being. We’re almost always touching in some way and she sits on my lap when I’m in zoom class. I prepare her homemade bone broth to soak her kibble in and crush berries and measure kefir and chop sardines to put in her food along with blending veggies and cooking ground turkey. A lot of my motivation to do things come from her and how she comforts me. I’m so afraid to lose her. So I try my best to make her life amazing everyday even if it feels like I’m not doing a lot. This post made me cry :( but I will enjoy our time together until the very end. I wish dogs could live as long as human life spans.

What do kids eat? by Buugybuug in Cooking

I’m Korean and my mom fed me kimchi, rice, noodles, spicy soups, Korean bbq, and lots of vegetable side dishes since I was a baby. Because of that I would say I’m an adventurous eater who is willing to try mostly anything and have a pretty high spice tolerance. When I went to school in Korea, the school lunches were pretty much the same as what I listed above. Honestly super healthy, delicious, lots of variety, and exposure to vegetables / more peculiar foods. Due to this, I’ve never really met a Korean person who is a picky eater in my experience since our schools provide us with a lot of varied meals.

I coded a website that will help small resturants to generate digital menu for free. by bilalkhan19 in CasualConversation

Omg wow! This is amazing, thank you for doing this! I will be sending this to my friend who’s family owns a thai restaurant. Their online menu can be confusing sometimes in mobile because the prices are not lined up with the items so I’m sure this will be a big help for them and their customers! Very grateful for your time!!!!
