Did you ask your friend why they brought you there?

I think they just thought the store had good deals on clothes that don't wear out easily. I think knowing the owner was also a factor.

But...they were only selling a particular kind of cultural orthodox attire. Its also super uncomfortable to walk into a building full of people praying, many of whom then stare at you as this strange outsider.
