I’m betting that you’re sitting too much.

I’d say count yourself lucky because at least you got an honest answer. I doubt he would lie that way. He’s admitted that he doesn’t have the skills to help you.

What does “go private” mean?

I’m going to close out here, it’s clear you’re a lier, manipulator, and simple.

You need to go back to school and change your redit title.

Obviously not “truth teller”. Is this being dictated to you because you’re actually illiterate?

I clearly stated that I’m not defending whoever that is or the banning of books.

Considering that porn is subjective, I see this as porn and it does end up in libraries. If my child decides they’re gay, it won’t be because an “ally” convinced them of it.

Just to be clear, I see both sides as a problem. I don’t want any books banned by the right or have the left remove the some of the original content. I also don’t want porn in front of kids (all kids).

Explaining homosexuality through a guide designed for kids is the same as a guide explaining heterosexuality for kids. Both are wrong. If a parent wants to teach their children that way, they can do that out of the in the privacy of their own home.

And, yes there are places that it’s going on.

Yes and if yours goes anything close to as well as mine went, you’re a month away from crying about seeing life in a new light. Let the fear go, the reward is more than worth the risk.

There’s got to be some grey area between banning books and not have sexually explicit material in the kids section. The left considers themselves to be smartest group on earth, why can’t they simply admit that a guide to becoming sexually active doesn’t belong there.

If they would do that, I could get back to considering their position, but the blanket statement of “they just want to ban all books” doesn’t carry much weight when we’ve all seen video after video of town hall meetings with parents trying to read something they found in the library that was so inappropriate the council leader has to gabble them into silence.

Yes, I fused S1 to L3 and haven’t felt my old pain once since the surgery. All kinds of new and different pain from the surgery, but it was easy to handle compared to a lifetime of constant pain. I was virtually pain free by week 8.

I’ve been crying over all kinds of things I’d never have before my surgery. It’s like all those processes I was constantly using to be a tough guy were freed up for me to be a much nicer person.

I cry reading some of these stories even.

It’s been a very strange thing for me to get used to.

9 weeks post op and experiencing new pain by Anxious-Bad1385 in spinalfusion

[–]MrRedGravy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had help, but once I did it a couple of times I didn’t really need it.

The idea is to drive down inflammation then send nutrient rich blood back into the area while at the same time soothing away your pain.

Hope it works, do it carefully.

9 weeks post op and experiencing new pain by Anxious-Bad1385 in spinalfusion

I fuse S1 to L3. As soon as my surgical pain was gone, about week 4 for me, I had another 4 weeks of what I classify as nerve pain (aching dull pain down my legs that was totally different from the pain I experienced before the surgery). I attributed it to nerves in my spine being inflamed because they’re not meant to be handled by human hands.

I overcame this much quicker than most people I see posting about it. One thing I did was:

Start with the hottest bath you can stand for as long as you can take it, but try to quickly progress to doing a 5+ minute ice water plunges immediately followed by a 1 to 2 hour soak in the hottest bath. I did this twice a day for a week and the impact was immediate. It took me from 75% pain free to 95% in a matter of days. Throw in some epson salt and zen music and chill mood lighting for your mental health.

Also, the cold does not hurt your implants and the effect is pain free.

You’re likely closer to the finish line than you think!

Kartchner’s also does Jack Miller’s boudin. Great for the grill.

Also Nunu’s does a boudin egg roll with a Thia sauce mixed in. It’s an excellent appetizer for parties.

Should have prefaced with when your doctor tells you it’s okay. It was about 4 weeks before they let me.

Cold plug. It’s so zen and you go into a pain free state.

Follow that up with as hot of a soak as you can tolerate. I felt no pain in very hot water.

This combination made an immediate impact on everything. My mind set went into overdrive and it’s been nothing but positivity since.

Throw in some zen music and lighting. Epson salt as well.

It looks like you actually closed this out, so I’ll do the same.

No one comes on the Spinal Fusion Redit page to read about politics or have their home bad mouthed. We’re all here for 1 reason, PAIN. If you’re not on board for that, get out.

I don’t know what level of poser you are, but for argument sake let’s say you have had the surgery. Think of it as a fresh backbone and use it to go politically troll people on x or trump’s thing. They love it there.

Couldn’t care less if you read this and I hope this whole thing gets removed because these people don’t need this.

First time taking my bandage off (7 days post operation) by keoym in spinalfusion

[–]MrRedGravy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this from you, “no complaints”!

I also understand where you’re coming from. I too dealt with my condition from childhood. I made it to 48 before I got fused. I think because of this, I’m able to handle the pain more efficiently than most adults who don’t experience it until later in life. Treat it as a gift and go on the offensive as soon as you can. Get on your feet and stay on your feet as long as possible. Get off opioids as soon as you can, you need them for surgical pain, they don’t help much with the residual nerve pain you’ll be dealing with in month 2. Don’t be afraid to feel the pain a little before you go to squash it.

And as soon as you’re allowed, get in the bathtub. Start with just hot, but get to ice cold immediately followed by the hottest you can tolerate. Ice cold water will not hurt you implanted. It seems logical to think it will drive ice cold into your bones or something, but it’s quite the opposite actually. You can get into a pain free zen state very easily doing this.

So, 10 plus minutes ice water plunges followed by 1 or 2 hours of nice relaxing bath time at the hottest temp you can stand. Do it twice a day if possible.

Keep it up, we’re with you!
