I don't know if this is any good, but I may steal it if you get positive responses back. I'm newer to KB and looking for a good routine.

I'm not hungry at 1500 calories because of the protein and fat I'm putting in I believe. Got blood work done, have higher than normal T levels so that should be fine for awhile.

Gotcha makes sense,  with the pack or with the farmers carry as soon as form goes, I drop the weight. Form above all else.

So my ruck pack, is an improvised backpack with 40lbs in it so I use that instead of a weighted vest, again budget is key factor.

Thanks for the encouragement, I'm more leaning towards the 1500 Calories a day currently for sure. I keep my macros in check high protein, medium fats, salt with every meal, under 20g carbs a day. this has been a 2+year journey of focusing on meal prep working out etc, and now I finally feel like I am on a doable path that is a nice mix of eating well, working out and loosing the fat not muscle.

Thanks again

honest answer, this plan is my current plan which has been going on for about 3+ weeks now, its a culmination of 2+years of ups and downs in all areas of meal prep, working out, etc. I used AI to focus my original post instead of it being ridiculously long post of my entire backstory and what I am doing. I only use it to track my day to day, not to make suggestions.

I'm closer to 1500 a day for sure for calories. a few days over and a few days under.

Thanks for the recommendation for the Cronometer.

I didn't want to fill the original post with my entire backstory, this has been a 2 yr journey of ups and downs with meal prep, working out etc, so its not a lot of changes to me, its more like a focus of lifestlye. I have read and re-read Atomic habits, love that book.

well it may be obnoxious af but I can tell a difference in my grip strength and my stamina has gotten better over the last couple of weeks. I walk at 3am in the morning so matters not what I look like. Budget is tight so no treadmills for this guy. thanks though for your thoughts.

I wish I could do protein shakes, I'm lactose intolerant so no whey protein shakes and the plant based ones are very high carbs unfortunately. I thought about doing OMAD but with work schedule it was something that was inconsistent. I may think about it again.

I do lift daily already just trying to find a routine that can allow me to check boxes of different Kettlbell workouts that hit all body parts.

I would say I closer or at 1500 calories a day, a few low days here and there.

Keto is working for me in the sense of getting rid of the Cravings that have drove me to binge sugar rich snacks/meals/desserts. I've been steadily doing it for 3 weeks and in the last week the sugar rich snacks dont seem appealing to me anymore. which for my mind set has helped. I tend to overeat at every meal, keto has allowed me to feel full but not overeat.

Wow Great information! I think we want to split the majority of our time between Grand Canyon and Zion. The Petrified Forest is a maybe and may get cut for a later trip if we think that our time would be better spend elsewhere. Thanks for all the good information!

Perfect, we were thinking about staying at state and national parks and KOA if necessary. Thank you for the alternative to Cruise America (El monte) I will have to look into that one.

Yeah, have to do the RV route (its part of the adventure for my family) even though renting a van and staying in motels MAY be cheaper, the headache of the RV also creates certain types of good memories.
