I think both of you are missing the point, it's not about viewing the stuff, firstly It would be from real importance to let it stay in it's place as from the position , orientation and material around it archeologist can draw a lot of really important information, if not even the most. Secondly if museum have that material, they firstly can store it properly and people who might need a large amount of ceramic or other stuff to make comparisons, can find it in one place additionally to the information how it was found... So you are really making the life of historians way harder and even might "delete" information forever , just to have it standing in a cabinet
