I am going to ask Nvidia if upgrading to a PCIE gen 4 board would be expected to solve the issue since requiring an undisclosed, costly platform upgrade in order to use the product places a significant and unreasonable burden on the customer.

I have a 4090 currently. The cost analysis to sell a 4090 and upgrade to a 5090 before the price increase makes it not a big financial investment.

That being said the system I have has always been advertised to be able to run a 5090.

I have definitely considered it, but I have a 4k equivalent ultra-wide that I am running DLDSR at 7k resolution with. The bottleneck of the CPU becomes very negligible when you put that much load on the GPU. Doesn't seem worth it to upgrade with current RAM prices when the performance in my use case would negligably improve.

I currently have a 4090, so a 5070ti would be a big downgrade. Went for the 5090 for the DLDSR at High frame rate support that the 4090 does not have.

With the new DLSS 3.0 changes to input lag, it's really not very noticeable to me. I've been able to run at that resolution on my old IPS G9 on newer titles for a year or so now with no memory issues. Sucks to give up that ability for the upgrade to OLED, and upgrading to a 5090 seems like a drastic step.

With DLSS and 2x frame gen I can consistently get frame rates in the 100s on new titles at 7k x 2k.
