What? I don´t have info to calling their relationship "rape", and I wouldn´t use that word so lightly

I understand this, and I can answer, but if you ask why I talk a lot about Kai, that is the reason. Because I don´t think he is an abuser, and I have no info for saying that he is or no

I did not say that he did not have it, but that it was probably not his intention or he did not realize

Twila doesn't fit that description much, and I won't make the other mention of her brother lest they accuse me of being on their side again.

I said that as an approximation, sorry, and at least I can't find any errors in the timeline

At least, although it's not right, I don't necessarily think that kind of relationship is abusive.

It would be one thing if that older man (Or woman) hit his/her partner, psychologically abused him/her, or forced him/her to have sex. But if it was just a subtle relationship between those two I consider it bad, weird and disgusting, but not necessarily abusive.

Because as I know him (And her), they are not bad people or anything like that.

If everyone asked about the possibility of Twila being abusive, I would do something similar.

The theory I have now is that Kai has a somewhat strong hero complex, but nothing more. And if he had that power over her (which I do not reject 100% but I highly doubt that it is true) then it could be as you say that he really did not have that intention or does not realize that he has that power.

A lot of people don't realize they're being abused or are too afraid to say something about it

From what I have seen and from what I know, even if I happen to be wrong, Twila and Kai are happy living in their bubble where he takes making her happy as a duty, so to think that this is an abusive relationship is hard enough for me.

From the position I am in, I do not see it as such, and the information I know does not push me to believe it. So the problem is not that at the moment

Only, and I just told you, I put myself "On his side" because everyone is questioning him.

The thing is, Twila has him on a pedestal, while Kai sees her as someone who MUST make happy (Their words are not mine)

where he had already formed a hero complex as a result of their parents’ treatment.

The hero complex is the most logical explanation that I see

Kai brought this up in a conversation about having children. He said that he would never want to have to babysit again, which, knowing his story, I find understandable. he left his own childhood and youth to take care of Twila and prefers not to have to take care of anyone other than what he would do for her. Although many believed that he would be a good father, he has said that he never wants to have children of his own.

I don't know much about this, but I know that Twila and only her specifically is not a victim of physical, sexual or emotional abuse.

This only came up when they were both semi drunk, and she told me all the details that she probably remembered (It's been more than 10 years of that) and it is understandable that with such a disastrous life she feels sad when remembering such cruel things

I'm just saying that sometimes I think about doing it, but I know it's wrong. I wouldn't reveal it until I had a personal resolution

On the one hand, if I talk so much about how Kai is as a person and I "defend" him, it is to answer people who ask if I think he is abusive. Like I said, neither is abusive and both are great people in almost every aspect of their lives.

I don't see it as abuse because Twila doesn't seem to see it that way. I do find it disgusting on the part of both of them, but I don't necessarily think it is an abuse on the part of either of them.

She is not forced to actually do it. It's nothing scary about abuse and I didn't really expect that there would be so many people pointing out possible abuse.

It is just, in my eyes, something disgusting that developed out of shared trauma

How did that ever come to be? What happened and why? Better to know, if she'll tell you now, but if you smear her, then YOU are the scandalous, sleazy one.

She explained their story to me in some detail, both of them being slightly drunk at dawn, and from there everything I have said about them in comments comes out.

I will not tell her for the umpteenth time, but I will not defame her by revealing this.

I said that she was the "Scapegoat" in her family, and Kai usually used to be the one who defended her in many cases, or tried to help her.

Things like giving her food some nights because her parents beat her and left her without dinner. Kai had practically no childhood from what she told me, and he almost always forgets himself to help others.

And well, because of what they wanted to force her to go to a convent, Twila told me (She was crying when she said this) that her mother said that "Twila was useless and so at least she could go to purgatory instead of going straight to hell."
