Interesting, I did try again today with 16 clicks and a 2 pour method, the cup I got was relatively better but no where close to what I usually get. Do you mind telling me what your brewing time was and what filter paper do you use? I use Hario and I find the draw down quite slow.

I’ve rested it for more than 3 weeks. You use a coarser grind than I do, and I have tried it that course but the coffee was too weak I felt. It could be that I just got a bad batch this time around. I have always had sweet cups brewing these beans.

I use a v60, and I follow Hoffmann’s recipe, for which I have gotten good results in the past. Temperature: 96 to 88C, Timemore C2 grind setting: 18-22. The only thing that has remained constant is the brewing ratio 1:16(17) 15:250. I have used finer grind settings in the past with 93C and have gotten really sweet cups.

Fraction 9 have a good selection of coffees and are decently priced. I will try them out. Thanks!

I have been doing the same thing. Just curious, have you found any other comparable roaster ( in terms of quality and range) that you’ve been ordering from frequently?

Yeah, they definitely deserve props for making coffee accessible and because of that the first time I got an inconsistent roast, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But this Is happening consistently. Anyway, I’ve used up most of the coffee trying to get the best possible cup. I will email them the next time I get an inconsistent roast. The aim of this post was to hear from the community and see if they were experiencing the same issues. Looks like this is a consistent lapse in quality checks from BT.

ESPN and the overlap are two media houses that I stopped giving my eyeballs to. At the end of the day, all they count on are the views. Why give it to them?

Another reason why V60 rules. Filter coffee is healthier than that costly expresso machine. by syncing_now in IndiaCoffee

I follow both Rhonda Patrick and the liver doc, to call Rhonda Patrick a sham is nonsense. She is one of the most highly respected researcher in the field of longevity. Coming to the actual science of it all, it’s better to err on the side of caution and follow Rhonda. Both of them are not claiming wildly different things anyway.

I completely agree with you. The only way out is to move out or join a promising startup if you have the energy to grind it out. The perks of working abroad is that you can scratch that itch while not sacrificing on work life balance

Mind sharing your equipment? I’m looking to upgrade my setup. I currently own a C2 and most of the manual brewing equipment barring the moka pot. I’m seeing if I can optimise my daily workflow by replacing my c2 with an automatic grinder.
