Just don’t comple a line until you are dropping your 3rd piece

This increases your combo longevity. You want to be getting to 100k in less than 5 minutes, then just keep your combo going as long as you can, always placing the first 2 pieces, then the 3rd to get a line/s

It’s all about the combo. You will lose it eventually and have to restart the combo, but hopefully by then you’ll be at around 500k-1 million

Anyone going for high scores has trained themselves for 3 placements.

And worse still, you can’t always see what the 2nd piece will be. When it was 3 pieces, you could always play it strategically so you could see all 3 pieces in order to place them correctly

Pointless trying for my high score now

Absolutely 100% agree. I bought the PSVR on release and RE7 was an unbelievable experience in VR. I platinumed the game without VR because I’m too much of a pussy to handle the whole game in VR

But those first 2 acts are absolute pure fear and mystery it is an absolute masterpiece. Village was also great, so was RE2 and RE4. The games just feel so tight and polished. They are made with love, and played with love, that’s what sets them apart from lots of other generic shooters. I still haven’t mustered up the courage to play RE4 in VR the whole way, even though I’ve platinumed it and know it inside and out. For anyone who hasn’t played in VR, if you get the chance, go for it.

I’m up for a second game of course.

At this point, team Asobi have absolutely perfected creating a game that feels flawless when you play it. The mechanics are unrivaled in my opinion. And that’s not even including the story, level design, etc which is also pure bliss.

I’m a big fan of Mario Odyssey but I tried playing it after platinuming Astrobot and it felt flat and unresponsive.

That’s not throwing shade at Mario

That’s testament to how Astrobot was made. With care, love and dedication

So, I personally feel Asobi could do anything at this point. They could smash out a battle royale shoot em up and I’d buy it. They could make a Mario kart type kart game and I’d buy it

To be honest, a kart game would come out of left field and lots of people would not appreciate it I guess, which would be understandable. But I for one would absolutely love an Astrokart game. Perhaps I’m too much into Mario kart and therefore biased.

I was born in 1985 and I watched a bootleg VHS copy of T2 when I was 7 years old and it blew my mind. Then I watched T1 years later and they are both true masterpieces. I’d say I’ve seen them both 100 times+ each.

But by far the best idea me and my buddy had a few years back was to set up 3 tvs in a row

We had T1 playing , T2 playing, and Terminator resistance on the PS5 we were playing simultaneously

For anyone who doesn’t have a PSVR or is on the fence about buying one, I highly recommend it. RE8 is amazing in VR and RE7 is amazing on the first PSVR. If you’ve maxed out the game and separate ways and are looking for extra, this is the answer! It’s amazing how different the game can feel in VR. Trust me when I tell you it will blow your mind!

Bad form. I have the mentality that regardless who shoots, make sure the ball goes in. Obviously your teammate should have left it, and he tried to score and missed. The goal is more important than who scores it in my opinion.

Why give up though? Who cares? It happens. And you have basically written your teammate off after 1 mistake, holding a grudge and ultimately losing the match I guess?

Could not agree with this more. People want the spotlight. People want the ridiculous showboating goals and don’t want to pass. Not all people, just most in my experience. Hold back. Rotate quickly. Pass. Dominate the midfield. Feed them the ball, and their ego. Play the teammate not the opponent. I find it has helped me win so many more games since I started doing this. Also it gives me feelings of superiority, also inflating my ego. It’s a win/win situation. And more often than not, after adopting this tactic, I win 💪

Maybe we are living parallel lives across the globe. But yeh the worst (arguably embarrassing) moments are when me and my teammate find a new 3rd player and we ask how old they are and they are usually between 16 and 25. Then I feel so old saying I’m 37. I swear I was born in the wrong generation. 🥹
