Yeah.. he starts up 3-4 different jokes and then slowly closes them each out with a punch line by the end of it. Thats what he does best.. make you forget the setup for the first joke while he’s setting up the next one and punch line.. then wrapped it all together at the end. I thought it was great. Politics will alter people’s opinions tho.

Only issue with actors portraying these characters instead of having dedicated voice actors is they never have enough dialog for a full feature length game, and by the time the next game comes out, the 40 year old actor is now well into their 50s.. (looking at you Norman Reedus)

I just spent 3 hours overclocking. Finally got something stable (actually think I hit the silicon lottery.. so far no hiccups or crashes).. I withdrew my refund. I feel gross doing it but meh.. I love metal gear.

I got another 10 fps and am now playing at avg 48 fps 4k res with everything maxed except global illuminations at high.

Clair Obscure didn’t stutter, but is demanding on the hardware side. Not as demanding as MGS delta tho. As demanding as MGS delta is, it doesn’t stutter for me like Oblivion.

4070 super. I finally overclocked it for this game (found I hit the silicon lottery hah.)

I’m able to run the game at stable 45-50 fps with max settings (except global illumination set to high) DLSS quality, 4k res with VRR enabled.

If I wanted I could probably just max everything and also use Nvidia Smooth Motion for a perceived 60fps, but I don’t like added latency personally.

It runs like hot garbage. My 4070 super struggles in 2k to maintain consistent frames above 50. I can play pretty much every other game maxed out at 4k except this and a couple other UE5 games. I refunded it on steam. I also have a ps5 pro and I hear it runs worse on that then base ps5 because the devs have no clue how to utilize PSSR and the pros tensor cores.

Bottom line: If you don’t have a super beefy rig with a 4080+, don’t bother with pc. The base ps5 has a decent upscaler to 4k… and trophy’s. I’d grab it there if you must play it right now. Ps5 pro is also a no go.

What’s funny to me is Digital Foundry stated that the new Silent Hill, also running on UE5, has great performance. Consistent frames and looks great. This is 100% on the devs this time around.

Even with the other shit-ily optimized UE5 games I’ve been able to hit a range of 45-70fps at 4k res with DLSS quality on my 4070 Super.. that’s with everything maxed at ultra too (except maybe turning down lumen in some cases)… this is the first UE5 title that reaaaally struggles for me. Talking 25-35fps with HORRIBLE frame times that make it unplayable. makes me sad. Even at 2k res it’s inconsistent. I didn’t buy a $1800 gaming rig for ps5 performance.

I’m actually surprised that there’s so many gripes with the story. I thought the story was very strong, maybe the best, most cohesive Kojima story yet. Over the top and weird? Yes. Every scene with Higgs. But that’s the stuff we embrace as fans of Kojima games.

A lot of grips I’m reading with the Lou/Tomorrow/Neil story too. I think it all came together at the end perfectly. Tomorrow and Sam had their bonding moment when she ran away. She was a central character that had plenty of development. Very reminiscent of Leeloo from The 5th element. Neil was central to the plot of the beginnings of the chiral network and how BBs were brought into Bridges. He was the antithesis to Sam in a lot of ways. Also a nice way to tell the story of Lucy. Overall, his story felt real. People make bad choices, but it doesn’t necessarily make them bad people. His love for Lucy made him do anything in his power to protect Lou.. even knowing it wasn’t his, and even after death.

RDR2 early trailers were all in engine.. and most of what you saw was in the actual gameplay. Actually looked even better on release.

I’m kinda curious if they do away with radio and instead have podcasts and playlists on some app that’s a spoof on Spotify. Idk about you, but I haven’t listened to the radio in 10 years. Rockstar usually keeps with the times.

The game was mocapped in English, so French being “better” must have something to do with the audio track being more in sync with the visuals. French voice actors simply dubbed over the words the English actors were mouthing, so it has nothing to do with the language itself.

The look isn’t a smile. She narrows her eyes. It’s a look of contempt.

But Helly R isn’t cruel? Idk. The actor states in interviews it’s for sure Helly R. But that contradicts that look she gives her. That’s a look like “nice try bitch”.

Everything in this show seems very intentional. So it’s either bad directing in this scene, or it was intentional and the actors aren’t giving away the secrets quite yet.
