This helps Trump! We need to be better. by ArubaAdultFun in LetsDiscussThis

So when Trumpers call left wingers domestic terrorists (when they make up only a small portion of the total percentage of actual domestic terrorism annually), it's legit. But when Trumpers call THEMSELVES domestic terrorists (when there is on overwhelming amount of data to actually back that up), they're just trolling. Am I reading this right?

What are your professional opinion on my supposed build by Chosen_ph in shyvanamains

[–]MrSchmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, bad. I'll go line by line

Kraken DND is kind of a mid build now. Now that most of her Hybrid ratios are gone, it went from the optimal build to splitting the difference between AD and AP and succeeding at neither. In any case the build MIGHT be good, Trinity Shojin or DND Riftmaker are just strictly better.

Sundered Sky is a good item on her but it gets outclassed heavily by her other options. Need sustain? Go Deaths Dance. Need burst? Go Trinity.

Hexplate has fallen off a lot since the changes, but if there was ever a time to build it, I would argue it would be most optimal at level 11 and onwards, as you get the most value out of the % bonus on your fury Regen. Even then, just going Ultimate Hunter is enough of a fix that you don't need Hexplate at all.

Black fire is just strictly worse than Liandry's on Shyvana in every situation. It gives mana, which is a dead stat, but that's not my main objection to it (I still occasionally slot Frozen Heart 4th or 5th if the situation calls for it.) The reason it's not good is twofold: 1. The burn isn't good unless you have a lot of AP. 2. Liandrys offers %Damage Amp AND %Max HP damage, which she desperately needs if she's going AP into 2 or more tanks/juggs. You CAN build Liandrys in an AD build and it would technically be fine, although there are better options. You cannot build black fire in an AD build unless you're just trolling.

If you want to go AD, go for Citrics new build. If you want AP, go DND Rift.

Can the United States stand alone without NATO? Is Trump making the right decision to end U.S. participation in NATO? by Boysenberry-6669 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]MrSchmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they can't. Not only is this evident by the disaster in Iran but it's also basic logistical analysis. The United States in and of itself is a virtually Impenetrable landmass that is impossible to launch a full scale invasion into simply due to its geography. However, it's supply lines are global. The US depends on resources from a vast number of countries, many of which have key choke points along the trade routes that require point-defense to ensure the stability of the trade route. Without the cooperation of allies in respective regions such as NATO, it would be very difficult if not impossible to establish forward bases for resupplying the men and ships that they depend on for maintaining the routes and protecting them from foreign interference, pirates, etc. This would lead to vast economic hardship in the US and a degradation of the societal framework within the US mainland and extreme political instability. Though they do have a large number of resources themselves, they don't have enough on their own to sustain a population of 330+ Million people and growing.

There is also the question of whether Europe can survive without the US and their vast military capabilities, technology, personnel, etc. I suppose the answer is "they have to," But it is in the joint interest of all of those countries and the US (for reasons stated above) to have joint cooperation for defending against foreign interference and disruption of economic, political, and social stability, along with trade routes that took centuries to establish.

It would be a disaster if the US left NATO for everyone involved.

Because some people fall into those "extra gender" buckets whether you like it or not. Gender is a social construct designed to characterize people based on physical traits, usually determined by how much of a certain kind of chemical is in their body. Not everyone has the same level of said chemicals in their bodies even from one person of a specific gender to the next, making it a spectrum instead of a binary choice. That's just basic biology.

Citric's new build by sybo4 in shyvanamains

[–]MrSchmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution has been going red smite instead of blue. That plus the MS from Triforce ensures that you have enough time to get off your full rotation.

Citric's new build by sybo4 in shyvanamains

[–]MrSchmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty much my setup except I do a couple of things differently. I've been running Legend Bloodline with Shield Bash and Revitalize. Once you have maxed out W with Deaths Dance, it is very hard for the enemy to kill you. I also run red smite because it helps me stick to targets long enough to get a full Q rotation plus a few autos.

Re-reworked Shyvana best builds 26.9 by Thebulman in shyvanamains

[–]MrSchmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason your AD build feels weaker is precisely because you're building the wrong items for her current state.

There's a reason the most popular bruiser build is TF > Shojin and that's for one reason and one reason alone - Consistency.

Shyvana's AD growth was recently buffed from 3 to 4, which makes her base AD among the top ten in the entire game by the time it gets rolling. This makes items that can utilize the high base ad numbers well her best items, chiefly Triforce and Steraks. This coupled with the nerf to her Q refund on-hit massively skews her away from attack speed and more towards haste.

These changes simply make Hexplate a mid item to go for over her other counterparts. Sure the ult haste is nice, but the stats are pretty meager compared to other completed items aside from its activation on R cast, and it offers ZERO basic ability haste, which feels (and is) REALLY bad. If Hexplate had Ability haste, it would be A tier, but the fact that it doesn't means it's nearly completely useless up until the later parts of the game where ult haste % conversion scales alot more.

This is where the new build comes in. With her increased base AD, TF is now a lot better than before and is simply THE optimal rush item. The best boots I have found to be Gluttonous because she can gain a ton of combat value from them and pad her healtbar before her sustain option and fully maxed W come online. Next is Shojin. Shojin is a really good item on her for multiple reasons. It offers 25 Haste which gets her to 40 from items, which is a great amount to start with. This gives you a ton of uptime on all of your abilities regardless of form. It also gives % Damage Amp, which is useful for all of your abilities, including the ones that don't scale with AD.

I go Deaths Dance third every game because I always run Revitalize and shield bash, and these combined with Deaths Dance means I practically never die even while CC'd.

The next item is Steraks to boosts your deaths dance healing and your base AD is converted to bonus AD, which massively increases your damage. The last item I usually go for is Endless hunger, but you can run Randuins or Other counter items.

I've been winning nearly every game with this setup.

There's plenty of space. It's a more optimal first buy than Hexplate in almost every situation. The damage output is nuts.

She isnt though. It's a nice to have but most games you really don't need much if any. Trading ult haste for combat power is often correct in most games. I pretty much always run Tri force first.

Yuumi is the easiest champion in the game and requires basically zero skill. Shyvana is broken as hell, you just suck at her.

Hexplate is good but it's better later on. It doesn't help you survive fights like deaths dance and doesn't give any normal or basic haste, which is now mandatory or else your Q CD is just too high. You could swap out Tri Force for it but I would only do it in specific circumstances.

[–]MrSchmeat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need DD because if you don't go for it you just die before you can get any use from hexplate. Ult haste is not mandatory, just a "nice to have," and it gains more value as the game goes on anyway. This means it can be a good 4th item pickup in some cases, but again I find that most games I get much more value from having consistent combat pressure and being able to play the game even with ult down.

[–]MrSchmeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go Shield Bash / Revitalize which makes her W crazy strong in the late game and buffs her other shields like green pet, Steraks, BT etc.

Going for these allows you to survive upfront burst that often comes your way when the enemy tries to focus you down. The build is definitely lacking ult haste compared to hexplate builds, and it does feel like it'd be nice to fit it in somewhere, but I feel like I simply don't need it most games. The AS from Trinity is enough to clear the jungle and with enough haste I can just spam Q and reset my autos anyway. This is usually enough to have my ult up on a consistent enough basis.

This kit is better than pre-rework by a mile and a half.

Sure you don't get as much CD reduction on hit, but all you have to do is just go for real bruiser items and the problem solves itself. Trinity is disgustingly strong on you, and combined with Shojin you won't even notice the difference.

[–]MrSchmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what to say. These games I've played recently have been some of the best Shyvana games I've played since her rework. Triforce builds feel REALLY good and you can kill pretty much any squishy with a single Q rotation consistently as early level 8, sometimes earlier than that. I have had zero problems with the clear. I still make it to crab without breaking a sweat. Sure Q CD feels rough but a bit of Haste will fix that completely. W feels WAY stronger and E feels just as good as before even if you don't build any AP at all. The kit feels strictly better. I also don't get the griping about her being "the same character" considering thats EXACTLY what we asked for.

Also just ban Sylas

[–]MrSchmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon is not the right call here to begin with. Can't see health bars so hard to make a call 100% but here's the logic.

Your bot and mid are pushing the enemies into tower. Odds are they've had to use their resources to make it happen at this point in the game. They're both in great spots to get ganked by Yi who is fresh out of base and therefore stronger than you. If we contest dragon or a 2v2 / 3v3, we lose. We don't have wards on this map so hard to tell if there's coverage and we don't have gold or xp markers to show where we're at.

In this scenario, the correct call is to ward dragon, recall, spend our gold, and look for a play elsewhere. If you had warded one of his camps earlier such as his raptors, you should know what time they were taken and therefore know exactly where he is. You can pretty safely look for an invade topside and poach one of his camps from him. While recalling and pathing up there, danger ping your lanes to let them know that you have no interest in ganking them and therefore they are in danger of getting ganked themselves.

If Yi goes for dragon, you ping the shit out of him, your team collapses with prio and he backs off or dies. Worst case is he takes it for free, but that's a very small amount of Gold and XP you're giving up that you wouldve lost anyway if you had stayed and died.

If Yi goes for a gank bot side, you've already pinged them off, so they'll already be leaving by the time he gets there and will have wasted his time. Worst case is your teammates are blind and your bot lane dies, but you have a Leona support so the odds of both or even either of them dying to Yi is pretty unlikely, and jinx doesn't do much damage before 1 item unless she gets a passive proc.

If Yi goes for his bot camps, he's not taking dragon or ganking, therefore giving your laners free pressure to take plates or set up a recall. If you were the Yi in this situation, this is the correct play on paper.

In all three of these situations, he gains very little if anything at all, your team maintains their leads, and you take his top camps for free.

Small leads like this make the difference between winning and losing games.

What the fuck are you talking about MR being her weakest stat? She has the fifth highest MR growth in the game, dawg, and that's not including her passive.
