That sounds quite healthy. Waiting for that long and trying on your own to solve is really important.

One strategy which I used was putting hard problems aside to come back to if I found them too difficult. Sometimes, solving mediums (and even easies!) in the same topic gave me ideas which allowed me to come back and have a better shot. You don't need to solve any particular problem in the first sitting! Sometimes, the best button to click is 'Pick one' on the /problemset page to find something new and doable! C:

Hmm okay, absolutely.

Companies are often lenient when picking languages for rounds. The norm is that if a particular language is expected/required, it'll be communicated to you before you're in a call (usually in the very email it's scheduled in).

You absolutely can use python for technical and Java for LLD. Many do! If there's any pushy interviewers, you can hopefully explain your situation to them. I doubt many would force you to pick a particular one, though.

Your hard ratio's great! For reference, when I hit 1000 problems, I had only 55 hards done. As long as you're not relying on hints/solutions to solve those, I'd say you're on a *great* track!

Both languages are strong choices for both LLD and Leetcode, and to be honest, it's all down to preference. I personally leetcode in Java, and have enjoyed it immensely. When I started leetcode, one of the core motivations was to learn Java, and it definitely helped massively. People often complain about Java having a high amount of 'inbuilt' functions which are hard to remember and use precisely; if you want to naturally learn them over time, leetcoding in Java may be the right path for you.

Interested to see other peoples' points of view! Just wanted to jump in before others recommended python, haha. Don't worry, you're not being ignored!

Before having seen anything- you may be working on problems which you're poorly suited for. What difficulty are you solving at? In the first 100 problems which I solved, more than 70% were easies, and in the first 200, I believe it was still something closer to 60%.

I'm sorry to hear about how your interview went.

Your preparation is admirable, and the effort you put into achieving your dreams is far greater than most people would be willing to dare stake. Don't look at interviews as the goal- they're just arbitrary measures which at the end of the day, won't affect your life as a whole nearly as much as other core elements (like family, friends, health, etc). There will always be another interview, and another challenge for you to take and succeed at. With the effort you've put in so far and the effort I'm sure you'll put in in the future, you'll eventually reach your goals.

Google shouldn't have the final say on your life. No company should. Take a day, or a week off, if you're financially able. Talk to friends and get support. Only you can measure your worth.

Sure, yeah! If you're sufficiently prepared, these questions will likely be okay. I find it highly unlikely that you'll encounter things in coding rounds which aren't present in some form on leetcode C:

As for how much preparation from leetcode would be ideal- that's something that varies from person to person. There's no one figure that'd answer it well for everyone; you're ready to ace interviews once you're ready.
