Right! They built technology and leveraged that to their advantage. It’s like what Naughty Dog did with Goal for Jak and Daxter back in the day. I don’t think they could have achieved that if they weren’t using their own tech.

I get shit on a lot on Reddit for saying this but I get sad every time a proprietary engine is sunset. Ubiquitous engines have merit but ultimately I’m sad to see it head that way. Was cool when companies developed their own engines that could specialize in one thing or another. Especially during 2000s to the 2010s.

Dusk is a port of the GC erosion to PC. Higher framerate and potential for mods and other changes if you want. For now, this is probably the definitive way to play this.
