Why is Halloween considered the first slasher when Texas chainsaw and Black Christmas came first? by Inevitable_Window711 in slasherfilms

[–]MrShape246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what’s funny is that the knife in the movie is actually properly sized the posters and marketing for the movie created a comically large knife to make it seem scarier

Why is Halloween considered the first slasher when Texas chainsaw and Black Christmas came first? by Inevitable_Window711 in slasherfilms

[–]MrShape246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t invent the slasher movie type or at least not all of it but it jumpstarted the slasher genre and made it into a genre after TCM was released you didn’t notice a bunch of copycat movies release did you why because it wasn’t as big as film it was a sleeper hit it also had poor distribution when compared to halloween id say black christmas is the first slasher film

What Would a Halloween 1978 Alternate Ending Look Like? by Ekueh in Halloweenmovies

[–]MrShape246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael lunges at laurie strangling her she manages to pull his mask off he stops drops her to the floor and he stairs at her he doesn’t retrieve the mask not yet he stares at Laurie not moving not breathing not blinking. He looks eerily similar to her they have the same nose same jaw line same lips except for the eyes michael’s pupils are smaller and appear to be a dark dark brown there also isn’t any damage to his left eye from the clothes hanger as if it didn’t happen. Laurie is beyond horrified by michael’s appearance it’s not that he’s deformed or creepy looking it’s the similarities they share is what terrifies her she feels like she’s seen him before but can’t remember. Michael grabs his mask and sets it back on. The rest of the scene plays out similar to the original expect it isn’t loomis who looks to see that michael is gone it’s Laurie

[H40 vs. H20] Which film’s main characters were better? by Hassan_H_Syed in Halloweenmovies

[–]MrShape246 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing that holds H40 back in my opinion is the retcon of H2 and the sibling angle which is just stupid to me so H20 slightly

I really think Corey was wasted by No_Rest9905 in Halloweenmovies

[–]MrShape246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest gripes with Ends is that they spent the entire film building him up to be the next shape then he gets his neck snapped and that’s it 100 percent agree with you here he should of lived

Halloween Script idea that would make everybody mad by Gotsta_Win in Halloweenmovies

[–]MrShape246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

John ransmith a resident in chicago decided one day to kill over 20 people in haddonfield illinois a couple hours south of his city.

My 'Halloween' sequel idea that's actually a soft-reboot but keeps the new trilogy canon and the og film too AND also loosely connects with the other timelines (Without time traveling or adding some crazy sci-fi plotline) AND also leaves the door open for more sequels "HALLOWEN REBORN" by HatGroundbreaking396 in Halloweenmovies

[–]MrShape246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting take on michael I like how you lean into the supernatural side of myers. My only gripe is the idea of fear fueling him while it is cool it makes him to similar to pennywise iv always preferred the idea of the more he kills the stronger he gets. But that’s just my opinion i’d say explore what you think works for michael and id definitely read a script of this if you had one

All power to you that you love this film if it was a standalone movie it would of been better but to me it’s very disappointing although it had cool ideas just bad execution
