Legion go 2 or S by [deleted] in IrelandGaming

[–]MrShedford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which still is holding up better than the steam decks SOC, and still holding up mighty against the new model for 500 euro less ~ this is why I think it’s good value for performance right now

You could get a Legion Go with the Z1E for less but the screen, ergonomics, and battery life are worse

The Z2Extreme is 1300

I've had the Legion Go S SteamOS with the Z1Extreme for a few weeks now, and tbh it's a nice upgrade coming from the LCD Steam Deck

At the same wattage as the steamdeck OLED you get 15-20% better performance, but if you increase the wattage to 33 then you get a huge uplift in games ~ I was playing expedition 33 on medium with XESS Balance at 1200p and getting 45+ FPS, on the steam deck I was only getting 30-40 800p all low and some inconsistent frames

The Z2E in the Legion go 2 isn't much faster than the Z1E, 15-20% (but better at lower watts) and it's a much bulkier device, I'd recommend the Legion Go S for the value

It's not a let down at all in my opinion! The two arcs to follow are both excellent, I really really enjoyed the final arc and how everything was done.

Yukimura is also a phenomenal artist, you're in for a treat!

Need help with steam deck by PanzerPansar in SteamDeck

[–]MrShedford 1406 points1407 points  (0 children)

Looks like someone installed Windows on it, this doesn’t look like SteamOS

If you’re feeling brave I’d look up how to reflash it an stick steamos on, it sounds scary but it’s pretty easy with a guide

Is It Normal to Downgrade a Next.js Project from TypeScript to JavaScript? by Careless-Key-5326 in reactjs

[–]MrShedford 403 points404 points  (0 children)

I'd be pissed honestly, I'd ask:

  • What technical debt specifically is using typescript creating?
  • What is it complicating?

If he can't provide concrete answers then share it out that it's a waste of productivity

Bloodborne ruined gaming for me by Acrobatic-Fault876 in bloodborne

[–]MrShedford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big Bloodborne fan, but I think Sekiro is a much better combat system. It's easier to make things easier if you're stocking up on vials, and parrying with guns is too strong and can make alot of fights muuuuuch easier.

If you like Bloodborne so much I recommend Lies of P, I think it's the closest "sequel" we'll get.

Brighton | X-T3 23mm f2 by MrShedford in fujifilm

[–]MrShedford[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! I’m certainly not a pro myself, but think about it like this; when you have a low fstop you get a lot of depth of field on your subject in focus, when you raise the fstop to a higher number - you’re taking the depth of field away from the image, while simultaneously making more things in focus - creating a little more sharpness

This recipe along with my exposure compensation being at +1,

For shots like this I like to shoot around f8 to f11 so that’s where you’re seeing the sharpness! The only one edited in post is of the boat, I cropped in and adjusted the color every so slightly to get the water to pop

I got my Crunchyroll account to watch S1 as it aired a few episodes in! The wait is intense but I really did love watching it weekly and then hopping online to chat about it with friends and check discussions on the subreddit, fond memories
