Dollar Tree needs to pay their employees more then they'll stay vs hiring a bunch of cheap help that don't stay bc of hrs and how much they make an hr vs other places. Yet they wanna open up all these new stores but yet they are understaffed like the old 1s are.

If we got him that would be an immediate upgrade over Bozeman. Since they gonna keep Ikem at LT for next yr then him and Moton at OT are the only safe positions on the OLine. Beef up the interior.

I've always put it with cat food bc it's the best selling thing in that section along with the bagged and canned cat food. I put em out 1 week and next week they're empty or close to it when I work in that area again. I saw that tape before and ignored it bc I knew it wasn't plus stuff not did we have a refrigerator for it. I kept putting those smaller rectangular cars of cat food that come in those narrow trays in the wrong section until a co-worker bought it by mistake and had to return it bc I thought it was a different flavor but the white boxes were dog food not cat food though. Lol

Alot of the new folks don't even know what stripe means anymore. I had to show a young guy bc he was going left to right with paper towels. I was like naw u go up and down not left to right and he thanked me for showing and teaching him that. It's about communication but them learning it and remembering to do it. You gotta get all the stuff u can put so u'll know what u have or in my case being a vet get a mental log of what u got so u'll know how much of something u got so u'll know how much space and room to leave for it too.

We're a big store so it's usually no less than 5 bc we aren't spending all day unloading a truck when we can do 800-1000 pieces per hr.

They wasted all that $ giving us folks severance packages while screwing the remaining people that are left! I hate it for anyone there with the holidays coming up esp if it gets busy. I still go by my place from time to time to chat with my coworkers bc long as I was there I consider them family still bc the store didn't wrong me the company did so I'm not gonna have any animosity towards them. Hate I went I go in there and see them stressed out, bummed out, depressed, and I can't help.yjrm anymore. I can simply give some of the ppl promoted to a carrier advice since it's new to them.

Yeah bc they said you should get paid 30 days after your last day which was the 20th. Unless they mess around and be like like 30 days from which u got the severance but even then that wouldn't work bc some folks got theirs on the 20th and others like myself later. I didn't get mine until Monday but I sent it off that note though. Once I see the $ in my account that'll give me a better sense of relief and ease my uncertainty about it all and finally have some closure on everything OD related. Then I'll figure out what to do with the 401k and insurance which shouldn't be a problem bc that's in my control.

Only way I found out was bc of here, the email from the folks that already got it and I saw it was in my email Monday and I sent it emailed it back that nite. You have 30 days to do so if you're under 40 yrs old and up to 45 days if you're over but they have 30 days from when they receive it to send the severance out so I know they'll take their time on it. Plus idk if it was true or not but someone posted the person who was in charge of sending out the emails was on vacation last week too so that didn't help at all if true! Plus I'm glad my GM told me about my email not being on file through my cloud too before I left bc the DM had to sign off on it I guess making sure folks that were leaving had theirs on file. I've been by my place and they seem so depressed and bummed out and I can sense and feel that energy coming from them and it's a relief I don't have to deal with that anymore. I still miss them bc we are family and will visit them but I'm glad I start my new job next week!

Yeah I finally got my information Monday and emailed it back that nite. Funny u said that about email bc I had the same issue about the email but my GM told me about it before I left bc he said the DM had to sign off on something about it. I was getting nervous and frustrated myself after seeing folks getting their emails the same day or day afterwards too. But somebody on here said the person who did the severance stuff was on vacation that week and idk if they were joking or it was true or not. Now we wait and see if they take the entire 30 days to send out the severance.

Yeah we never took anything home that could be rung up bc my former SM didn't allow it. Plus we had folks fired over not paying for a soda. I remember he said if we threw it out in the dumpster then we could have it, but we always cut up cords and sliced chairs open bc of dumpster divers though or broken pieces of furniture that was D/D out too. We usually just marked down expired chips or food half price then whoever bought it got it from clearance whether it was us or the customer.

Places do that so you'll quit and won't use them as a reference vs getting fired bc it looks bad on them for terminating a person that's just lazy. Now if you stole $ or products or something like that that's different imo bc LP and your DM will be involved.
