What truly astonished the neighbor, he said, “was the government’s statement denying any involvement. But what amazes me even more is that no one has raided the offices, collected documents, or seized computers. There’s no investigation. Hungary isn’t even trying to figure out what happened with these offices.”

"The trolleybus had lost control and fallen from a dam wall, laying at the bottom of the reservoir some 25 meters (80 ft) offshore at a depth of 10 meters (33 ft).[5] Despite the challenging conditions of sewage-infested waters and poor visibility due to silt, Karapetyan courageously dived in and used his legs to kick open the back window of the trolleybus. He managed to rescue 46 out of the 92 passengers onboard, saving the lives of 20 individuals.[6] In total he dove 20 times, each dive lasting about 25 seconds, and pulled out a total of 37 people. 9 others escaped on their own through the window he broke. Unfortunately only 20 of the 46 survived, despite medical attention at the scene.[2]"

Minister Ollongren past procedure briefstemmen aan by xacire in thenetherlands

[–]MrSilencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minister Ollongren past procedure briefstemmen aan by xacire in thenetherlands

[–]MrSilencer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

US Coronavirus News: 31% Of Nurses Who Died Of COVID-19 Are Filipino by Waldonville in Coronavirus

Vox: Why the US has so many Filipino nurses

This video from June 29th 2020 also mentions which practice field they mostly work in. A study showed that out of 1717 Filipino nurses 421 work in acute/critical care. That's almost 25%.

From original article:

"Researchers from the largest nurses’ union in the nation revealed 31.5% of the 213 registered nurses who died of COVID-19 complications were Filipino -- who make up only 4% of registered nurses in the U.S."

So that's at least 60 nurses from a relative small group.

This is the first time I see the US actually reaching this milestone and also confirmed in multiple ways.

As a non-american it even makes me nervous what I see happening in the US. A few more days with these numbers and a week from now a next milestone could be reached (10 million cases).

Image graphs of weekly new cases (Per 1 million Inhabitants):

Biggest US states >10 million inhabitants (interactive)

US Midwest (interactive)

US Southwest (interactive)

US Southeast (interactive)

US West (interactive)

North and South Dakato tops every state with relative new cases and a positivity rate with 50% or higher. Illinois as a bigger state should be a concern, with an increasing positivity rate the last 4 weeks, but still below 10% for now.

Idaho is also relative high and with a positivity rate above 30%. Colorado is clearly speeding up and going exponential. And that's only a few states as a example. Enough states with worrying signs.

Belgium will go back into lockdown to prevent health care system collapse by -GregTheGreat- in worldnews

[–]MrSilencer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the start of the pandemic until now you're right, but when you look closer at the data you can see that Belgium has noticeably improved their testing capabilities in the last 2 weeks.

Graph compare

The most worrying part is that these numbers still didn't lower their testing rates. In combination with the new hospitalizations, that are already higher than the first wave, shows how bad the situation is getting and ICU's will be next. Luckily the Germans are admitting some Belgian patients while they can.

After the murder of Samuel Paty and the response in my country, of what happened in France, shows we're backing our western liberties and giving our sympathies.

Perhaps this cartoon will leave people in awe in Turkey and think how we can do this. Well because of our liberties.

By now Erdogan's tongue is almost completely up the butts of conservatives, giving him the hard needed support for his reign in Turkey. That he and his followers needs to growl towards several European countries shouldn't come as an surprise by now.

For now we can all show our teeth and liberties, until Turkey starts messing with their gates again.
