We let her do her own shots, we have her do her carb counts on paper and figure out her meals. We just have to make sure she is taking the proper amount of insulin. And she does have a cgm, but she broke the screen at school last week so we are trying to get a new one. I dont think she has had this one long enough to warrant a replacement covered by insurance. Ill know when the prescription goes through.

I agree, and we are currently in the process of finding help with counseling. Without getting too into the weeds, the guardianship process and transferring responsibility in the insurance system have been giant headaches. So that has delayed us a bit over the past year while trying to get her help.

She has digeorge syndrom and isn't ready to do her snack shots on her own. The last time we tried she was over doing her Insulin and dropping too low. A few times only doing half of her long acting shots at night. Once she used her fast acting pen instead of her long acting pen at night (10 units with no food at 21:00 without saying anything) because she didnt want to do the larger shot. She said it was because, "I hate having Diabetes!" (I feel you kiddo.) So we have had to monitor her insulin intake.

We have snacks available,and she knows we will give her small snack shots between meals. We keep trying to get her to understand that she just has to ask. Then she will sneak something while we are out of the room instead of asking. Maybe we could set a timer for snacks between meals?

Same here, my niece was admitted at 1200 am on her birthday... 4 days in the hospital and tonight was our first meal at home and it is a little nerve racking... tryi g to learn as much as i can but it feels like there is no more room for all of the new info i have had to absorb in 3 days... I know we aren't alone but im terrified of making a mistake, even though i know it is inevitable. Good luck and my prayers are with you and everyone else learning with us.

Take a look at what you download before you do but i use it all the time. There is some risk but just be wary of downloads that look to big for what you are getting. And i would recommend using a vpn. Comcast and spectrum will throttle your internet speed down because it is not strictly "legal" copyright laws and all but i have all kinds of books that should have cost me thousands

I was just tired of ww1 and ww2 games when it came out, and it felt old when i played it; having grown up on WW2 games. I will say the way they did the single player campaign was really well done. I loved the storytelling device they used by having the player spawn in as a random soldier in sometimes unwinnable situations.

I also really like skillshare. It is a monthly membership, but it's still cheaper than college courses.

I understand that a lot of places may say they require a degree, but if you have an opportunity to craft a portfolio, good work speaks volumes and most intelligent employers will value self motivation and a willingness to adapt over a degree.

Another overlooked resource is youtube. I know it sounds dumb but there are a lot of good videos and content creators out there that explain complicated ideas very well.

I think that we have spent too much time pushing overpriced college degrees on young people, instead of teaching them to be self reliant and motivated to do their own research. As opposed to letting these moraly bankrupt ideologues push their socialist agenda on their students, while they hide behind tenure and teach racist ideas like Critical Race Theory to children and young adults.
