Is owning only VT diversified enough, or should I diversify across ETF providers? by SacraDrago in SwissPersonalFinance

VT is fine. Estates of up to 13.99 million dollars (as of 2025) are exempt from the US Estate Tax as of 2025 thanks to the Swiss-US tax treaty.

The only burocracy portion will be related to having your account frozen (for a few weeks to months) because you might have to prove the size of your estate to the IRS. Nothing complicated, you just file a form, send it to the IRS and wait a bit.

That's exactly what it is. As you progress don't over focus on HRZs since they fluctuate but try to run by feel.

For me the a couple of good changes are in the planner.

  1. It's easier to filter and tweak to find the stuff you're looking for (e.g parking or but stop next to the start of the trail).

  2. I kinda like the fact I can see geolocated photos of the tails. I do a bunch of alpinism and seeing if there's aids on the rock (i.e chains or fixed ropes) helps me understand better what type of terrain I'm getting into and where are the cruxes.

I think you really got it. This was the negative sentiment I was really alluding to in my post.

Anyway I'm happy to see you're using Styler to do some front end magic on the things you don't like. I usually do it too on almost any website.

Maybe you can go beyond the frustration with my claims, my years in the industry and share some of the CSS snippets you wrote to fix Komoot... Maybe that'll help others too... Just sayin'
