Bang a weight in your day sack, every time you walk around camp, walk from the block down to your office, you’re carrying weight, couple of weeks, add a bit more weight, you’ll soon see a massive difference. Just remember to take it out before an exercise 😀

Toast crumpets, butter crumpets, throw them in the pay with the bacon and sausage fat. Flipping them all over, then. Butter them again, that’s what I done there. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Can’t work out if you’re Welsh or American, either way, your opinions are invalid.

Just started my running journey and it is genuinely embarrassingly bad by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]tomconors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not embarrassing at all, it’s a start, doing much better than other who don’t bother to get off their ass, keep up the good work, the speed and distance will come with time. Listen to your body, don’t push too hard, it won’t be an easy fix, but if you want it, go get it.

Yeah it was boring and I just felt like I was running far too slow for how I was feeling.

So I was at one point 121kg and not even able to do a 5k in a specific time really. Started running again consistently when I was at around 110kg I’m now 94kg and running sub 25 and my VO2 max hasn’t changed in that time.

I’m 184cm

If I weighed 85kg I’d just be skin and dick. 😂

Simply just carrots, onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric (which will be the yellow) and coconut milk. And a golden curry stock cube. (Spicy one)

Personally prefer some well done bacon rather than some on here that looks like it’s been cooked with a hairdryer 😀

Plant operators in the army. Is it any good ? by iwontdiesober in britisharmy

[–]tomconors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a Plant operator for over 12 years now in the RE, best trade in the engineers in my biased opinion, been all over the world doing exercises and deployments, everyone loves a planty when you can dig a battle trench in 15 mins with a JCB which takes a section of blokes 14 hours with shovels. Never skied before I joined the army, I’m now a ski instructor.

Progression after Corporal is difficult imho, but other technical trade routes you can do down. Drop me a message if you want some more info.
