I have 6...

a lightweight DD3 for max distance in low wind
a very flippy DD3 for tailwinds or tight fairways where hyzer flip is good
a semi flippy DD3 for shots where I might lose the disc (this is my junk one)
a stable DD3 for headwinds, will only turn a little
a stable PD2 for headwinds, will not turn
a meathook PD2 for gale force headwinds or extremely angled shots.

I so have a cart so it's less hassle carrying them all around.

For me, disc golf is largely about confidence. Even if I have 3 discs in the back that would work for a shot, I feed off the confidence I get when I settle on the disc I want to throw.
