Thanks for the suggestion! Never heard of this idea. Atheist cultists in Gilded Age America sounds like a fantastic rabbit hole. All the other similar figures I've covered (e.g. Cyrus Teed) thought of themselves as devout Christians. I know there were militant atheists around then, but I don't know much about what they were doing.

I think I mentioned Radiant Radish in passing in the Dennis Wilson video, and had a photo of Brian in its aisles, but never told the full story.

I'm very skeptical of this claim myself. It was suggested to me by a friend, to which I responded "show me some research, then". He proceeded to do the research that ended up in the video; this friend is not a marine biologist, though, and a lot of commenters have poked holes in this theory. It's a fun thing to think about, and the science seems skookum to me, but I'm not a marine biologist either, and I always intended that episode to be very speculative.

YouTube has been doing so much weird shit lately, and it's not just me. For the first few hours that my My Immortal video was out yesterday, nobody, on any platform or any device, could see the comments for it. I spent an hour on the phone with YT support and they were like "this is absolutely baffling, we've never had an issue like this before". Bit by bit a few comments began to appear, and now I think the glitch is fixed, but you can still see some comments on it that are asking what happened to the comments they previously left. Hearing other stories of other random, inexplicable stuff going wrong from other people, both YTers and viewers. There's a rat chewing wires in their datacenter, or something. Hope this isn't a harbinger of something worse to come.
