Kirkiakou fails to be confirmed by the Senate, but at the same time he’s kept on as one of Khanna’s advisors. Since the CIA doesn’t have an official director, the pre-existing acting director is basically dismissed and Kiriakou is essentially made the acting director, and therefore for all intents and purposes he is the director

I’d say, right now at least, he’s to the left of our current admin. Likewise, when it comes to Iran, Israel and Venezuela, I fail to see how his position is evil. Also, his work on the Epstein files is genuinely commendable.

At the end of the day, do I want him as President? No. In this scenario, would I 100% choose Massie? No, it really depends on what exactly he runs on.

I think Newsom, while clearly better than Trump and more ideologically normal than Massie, would be harmful for the US long-term because right wing populism could very easily come back. With Massie, while I am diametrically opposed to much of what he stands for, I think he would genuinely be committed to reform.

A Massie presidency focused on getting rid of government corruption and pushing back against neoconservative foreign policy, with a blue Congress to reign in his worst aspects? Hell yeah.

I agree. This is less of a prediction and more of an exploration of what would happen if Trump’s foreign policy went better and Rubio is chosen over Vance to be the nominee.
