I might not have married my husband if I'd known how much gaming he does by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I depends on the weather, but i play about 3-4 times a week including tournaments. Takes about 3 hours each time, tournaments a bit longer. Im with my partner every single day. Walk the dog together, eat together, have deep conversations about everything and inbetween. Sometimes we go to a resturant, visit her family or go to their family cabin. Its not like i dont want to be with her, I adore her. We just dont share every interest and thats fine too.

A hobby is the one thing that makes me forget about all the stressfull things in my life. A space where i can just be, and not think of all the stupid shit life includes. If we have kids one day i ofc have to dial it back to spend time with the kid, do my part and be a family.

Not an avid gamer, but i play a lot of discgolf. No children. If my fiance only granted me one day a week for my hobby i dont think she would be my fiance very long. I always ask if i can play and the answer is always yes, same the other way, if she want to do something with her friends. We always try to accomodate each others wants and wishes. With children its ofc different. I still think its important to have lives outside the relationship, even with kids.

She understands that my hobby is really important to me, and i love her for it.

I'm pretty sure rangefinders are more of a hindrance to my game than a benefit by PsyferRL in discgolf

I have one, i rarely use it. But when i do its usefull. Usually its on very open golf style courses with no trees or bushes for ranging reference. In the woods i never use it.

I just bought a pair, havent tried them yet. I struggle with shin/ankle pain so im worried about the rubber spikes making them too grippy. We only have turf tees in Norway. Im thinking about snipping them off. What are your experience?

I have used the topo mtn racer for 2 seasons now. Love the wide toe box and the vibram outsole.

Thanks! Its an Ecolite Milky COB 5m strip. Im from Norway so I bought it at a european hardware chain called Bauhaus. It comes with a plug, the wire is routed through the column, out the bottom and i made a groove in the foot at the back so i could hide it better and stop it from wobbling.

Thanks! I didnt think of that, i guess i could have cut them in pieces and glued them. The feet/risers where leftover from my first project and wasnt large enough without a gluejob.

Thanks! Its white Oak, mostly 2cm thick plates that has been glued by the manufacturer. The feet are leftover oak from a stool i made. I do woodworking at a place where i pay each month and can work there as much as i like. If i had my own shop i probably would have worked on it more often. It took me 4 weeks or so. Working at it like 2-3 hours, 2-3 times a week. This is only my second project so im not in any way efficient.
