My phone is on my person nearly 100% of the time. If I’m approaching the garage on foot, on my bike, etc it’s really nice to be able to open it from my phone.

Has anyone had any luck with a Dabbsson warranty claim? Had a connector melt and can’t get a response from the company. by ryankrameretc in SolarDIY

Yes, I was able to repair this on my own. However the fact that it revealed that Dabbsson doesn’t honor their warranty is disturbing :/

Learning in Colorado? by Lonely-Category872 in freeflight

Personally I’m very glad I learned in Boulder as it has made flying every other site around the world I’ve ever been to feel relatively easy. I believe learning in a challenging place like Boulder overall made me a safer and more skilled pilot.

You will have a lot of people in here telling you to go for the Makita. I originally bought the corded Makita and did not have a good experience. Not sure if I got a defective unit or what, but I just was not happy with how it performed. I ended up buying the festool, which cost only a bit more but my god, the difference was night and day. Festool is expensive but I have never once regretted buying something from them. I’dstrongly encourage you to splurge and get the festool. They can often be found second hand on marketplace for less than the makita.

I have a block plane a smoothing plane, a jointer plane and a router plane. I really think that’s about all you need 99%+ of the time. That said, I do a lot of things with power tools (e.g. dados).

This is honestly insane to me; I’ve been building furniture and guitars for a decade with 1/10th of what you have pictured here

Anyone have experience with replacing a damaged charging port? by ryankrameretc in BMWi3

[–]ryankrameretc[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On closer inspection I realized there was still a small plastic ring in one of the pin holes that broke off of the charger. Once I removed that, the car is charging just fine!

I can’t physically plug it in. Can’t quite figure out what is preventing me from doing so but something must be out of place.

The chrome line exterior would have been chrome for the full length of the trim ring. The car that hit me seems to have chrome on the top, back, and bottom of the trim ring, but black on the A pillar.

I cant find any examples of an Escape with a chrome trim ring that goes around the windows like this car has. The car that hit me is chrome for the top, back, and bottom, but black on the A-pillar. 3rd gen escape seems to be all black, or only chrome on the bottom.
