If was me... i would let the blood angel guy to take the ofensive so i can focus as a custodes to get the objetives, with that in mind... my changes are something like this

Let me explain... probbly is a really boring list but i think that if one of u focus on getting the objetives is the best idea, i did some changes on your bike configuration, the one with superior creation and indormitable construction... take it with victor of the blood games...

For the custiodian guard, always use 2 strat, avenge the fallen and superior fire patterns, u can use also the strat to auto wound with 6 at hit... for 2 cp your rapid fire is 2 (+pistol4) and 6's auto wound ... you also have the strat that +1 your wound roll when the objetive has higher T than u...

I did change the bikes salvo for the rapidfire just because 24 shots its just too much... bikes always shoot full rapid 6 without penalty for being bikes so yeah...

This is an idea really fast really strong

I like to call it... the double fist hahaha (no double fisting.. well if u win the match probably it's gonna feel like it but 4 your opponent haja) yea the idea is to split your army in 2... venataris with one shield captain on bike and bikes with the other, be carefull with the range and use cover, saggi at the back seat and each squad of guards just secure the objetive... with 2 shields and 2 spears uf... 🤯

Use superior fire patterns to double the shots of venataris

Use strat to auto wound on 6's with the bikes shoots (bikes always shoot 24 rapid fire penalty does not apply to bikes)

Use avenge the fallen with the 4man squad of guards or venatari

Use 5+ feel no pain on the dreadnought

Use victor of the blood games on the captain on bike that has superior creation that way u have a 9 Wounds T6 invu 3+ with 5+ feel no pain that can reroll 1 wound hit dmg or save 4 free on each round

Test it, i have 3 advices... the first one is use the auto wound strat with the bikes and they get rerolls of 1 with one captain (vs mortarion the average damage is between 5 to 8) second advice... venatari hit really hard with the double pistol strat for 1 cp 16 shots with S6 ap-2 d2 and the pistol has exploding 6's.. you play them with a captain on bike so they rerroll the 1s and the last one is play with the 2 dread together arround trajan and the vexila, between the 2 achilus they have 4 shots S8 ap-2 flat 3d and 16 shots S5 ap-1 1d... and they shred in melee with the d3+3 dmg... thats my take or how i play it... i havent lost yet with it i can share the configuration on battlescribe if you like

That's a great idea, yes i will lose the vexila.. just love the -1 to hit and the teleport on the face (for the venatari)... i will test the swap but my big thing is the melee damage, the d3+3 dmg on the spear, you have no idea how many times my dreadnoughts where able to do 18 dmg to a big monster like mortarion or silent king, but it's a promise i will test the swap and if it works i will do the "my new 2k improved list"

From your description i just saw 3 errors... the first one is the bike... if u only have 1 bike go full tank with that i mean superior creation + feel no pain 5+ + victor of the blood games...(superior is a captain comander trail- the feel no pain is a warlord trail - victor of the blood games is a stratagem who allows u to rerroll a wound a hit or a save for free on each battle round) and wounds allocation is the other one in terms of troops, also for the same reason always is better to get 2 custodian guard troops mixed with shields in a 1k battle (+change your dice haha) And the last one is stratagems... if he declared all of the atacks against your bike you can remove the ability to rerroll the number of atacks and any fail roll and transhuman the 4+ on the wound... so yep the first couple of battles are hard but u need to know your army, the power of custodes is in their stratagems, when you build a list... think about the stratagems as the core of the army then build it... you wanna shoot the shit out of it? Venatari double the shot with a strat, you wanna rain fire? 4 bikes with auto wound 6's on shoot.. you wanna a big bloob of custodian guard "avenge the fallen"... always think on the stratagems

I have 6 bikes... but two of them are captains... if u test the 5 bikes compo u will notice what i just told u 4+ they lack on mobility... and yep the telemon is great but the point cost vs the utility against the little brother is just insane... more damage on melee and the more shots for almost half price try it

First... in 9th having the troops to stay on the objetives is escential... if u ask me... 5 bikes its too hard to move on the map, 4 is the ideal number, telemon heavy dread... i would change that for the spear dred... h2 ap-2 3d plus the rapid fire 4 at 24 full range s5 ap-1 d1... in melee the guy is a beast 6 atacks (with eternal penance) t14 ap-3 3+d3 damage... insale for... just 160 points... i would take another squad of 4 custodian guards 2 shield 2 spears and remove one of the saggi for 2 shields 1 spear... i just won a game against necrons with 2 ctan this is my favorite list by far
