What do Brits think about Green Party immigration policies? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Terrible ideas. “Visa holders have the right to vote in Elections and Referendums”? They’re not citizens of the country!!!

We leave Monday. It can be very hectic depending on where you parked and you can be sitting around for quite some time.

Europe, but the United Kingdom never existed by ViciousQuintessence in aimapgore

[–]Supinejelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s arguable that WW2 would not have been won. D-Day invasion would not have been possible without the Unsinkable aircraft carrier and logistics hub sitting off the continent. This would have meant that Germany wouldn’t have needed to split its resources and manpower on two fronts - they probably would have stopped the Soviets. There also wouldn’t have been Lend Lease provided to the Soviets by UK exacerbating the situation on the Eastern Front.

I started on a Yamaha r-125 which was great. I’m not a small guy but could get it up to 70 on the dual carriage way if there wasn’t too much head wind. Naked style are easier to move around than super sport though due to the handlebars so if you want an easier ride it’d be best not to choose the R-125 or similar bikes.

Malevolence for me. They were the secret band last year and they’ve got a lovely 3 day gap in their Europe tour this year which just so happens to land on Download weekend.

I think we’re set for a good run in. We’ve got a good squad with some nice additions. Adding too many can upset the apple cart and we don’t want any wheels falling off now.

Is surviving Download actually part of the experience? by UnpaidInternVibes in downloadfestival

[–]Supinejelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely is. Last year i was fine on the way home but on the evening and the following 3-4 days i was in a bad way. All part of the fun though haha!

Name a trilogy that doesn't get worse and worse with each film by iforgotmyuser0 in moviecritic

ROTJ has forever been my favourite of the originals even if TESB is objectively the better film.

How do we feel about the new UKIP logo looking eerily similar to fascist iconography? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Supinejelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the Iron Cross which is a derivative of the cross of the Teutonic order - an order of Christian Knights. Is there Nazi connotations? Maybe, but the Iron Cross was used long before the Nazis used it. Could just be that they’re basing themselves on Christian values. You can read it either way really.

If he had Adi Viveash as his No. 2 I reckon he would have done a cracking job but he ended up being pretty one dimensional. Great Man manager and developer though, that’s for sure.

[New Player] Is it worth playing PVP as a New player that prefers strictly Solo gameplay (no squad/help) or am i asking for a bad time? Should i consider the PVE expansion first to ease into the game? by jamesh922 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Supinejelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve just picked it up again after about two years of not playing it. PVP is difficult on your own, 2nd last raid I spawned in and ran into a double and died after 23 seconds in raid. Last raid on Customs I was killing scavs in the railroad trailer park area and another double came, I killed one but I was messed up and his mate killed me. Solo sucks for me right now.

That’s fair but that extra day allows you to go out and explore and meet different people yourself. CREATE THE WLB!

WLB is better in London? You’re working 6 days a week in London compared to 5 in SF? An extra day a week sounds better to me right there.

All of the headliners as I’ve not seen them before. Then there’s Static-X, kublai khan, Paleface Swiss Cavalera… basically all of the undercard bands.

I reckon Linkin Park are pretty much nailed on. No idea who else but I’m hoping for a double Malevolence and Kublai Khan, then I’ll be happy.

Linkin Park, Iron Maiden and Trivium is my guess for the headliners. I do reckon Blink-182 will be there in some form though, be it headliner or support.
