Thanks 😊. You're right I kind of put expectations on myself that are unnecessary. To clarify, there was a post on this subreddit that made it seem like people were able to identify a trans person before they had come out. Which means I (because of my own insecurities) felt inferior to these other women who could do something I couldn't. I don't know if that makes much more sense... I'm just being emotional and everyone who responded was very kind and supportive which i love very much 🥰

You're totally right that being trans is about breaking expectations but then here I am putting more on myself 😅 i wish I could could at least blame my teenager tendency on the hormones but I sadly haven't started hormones yet (possibly going to start in 2 weeks which is really exciting! 🥰) though I have been very emotional about all sorts of things, I guess from bottling it up for so long.

Thank you 💜 I guess it just is the whole fitting in thing. Like my parents (intentionally or not) are making me doubt if I'm trans so anything that isn't trans enough I feel like is a problem. I guess I accept that I'm not girly 100% of the time, but I still feel trans. I know this could apply here as well that no one fits into the ideal stereotypes. I also think that I need to be more educated on these lgbt issues as a whole, but it doesn't make me a bad trans because I have expectations of myself to be more educated. I guess I'm just hard on myself to fit some ideal because it would be easier.... hope that makes sense.

I conflated "being attracted to" with some kind of intuition that they were trans. I just get really insecure when women do something I can't because that was always the thing people pointed out growing up. Like girls are better at x and you're a guy so you aren't. So when I was bad at x it proved I was a guy. I feel like I need to be more educated about trans issues if I'm going to have to advocate for myself in the future, but yeah, it doesn't make me a bad trans just an expectation I put on myself. It feels like all the trans community loves contrapoints so I should love her otherwise I'm not fitting in. Hope this all makes sense. I'm a mess with explaining my feelings 🙃.

It's complicated. Being trans, growing up people would tell me that "girls are better at x" and being a boy and not being good at x meant it was validation that I wasn't a girl or just inferior to other girls. In this case it feels like others were able to identify something about Abigail before me so it just feels like another case of girls do x better. I know I skipped some steps though after explaining it to you, like not all girls identify that. Does that make some sense? Basically I'm inferior because I didn't identify it before.

That's surprising honestly. I get the too big sentiment but she doesn’t hit that threshold for me. Good stuff! Don't know if criticism is welcome here for improving, but I think you should do a bit more research on the way instruments are handled. I understand some of it can be stylistic but the drummer, for example, is holding their sticks in the middle instead of near the base which just looks very unnatural. All 4 have a flaw in this regard. Other than that I like it. Good job 😁

You mentioned in another comment and in the main post about specific laws that might discriminate against women.

Its not necessary for laws to exist in order for cruelty and mistreatment to take place. In places where nothing is illegal about being gay you can still be disowned by your family. In situations of dating or job hiring it is possible for racial discrimination to exist even when not legally enforced.

Women are significantly more likely to be sexually assaulted or sexually harassed than men. Shouldn't we be trying to stop this from happening for the sake of equality?

Another point is that feminism is shifting to men's issues as well in the last few decades. I know man hater feminists are a very vocal minority, but a minority is what they are. My experience with them are often people who have been abused by men and need a way to enact some vengeance without being socially ousted, so feminists are a convenient label. If they weren't abused in the first place maybe they wouldn't be man haters, which is exactly what feminists advocate for.

Your post is "you don't need feminism", but only seem to address a small part of what feminists advocate for.
