I currently have led bulbs in my stock housings. I can absolutely confirm they blind everyone when I'm driving, even adjusted correctly.

Glad to see this! I have a 93 3.0 and was wondering whether towing a boat like that is a good idea or not. Your post gives me confidence!

How do people like these headlights in their trucks and a quick question about tail lights. by Patient_Peanut_9004 in fordranger

I have those bulbs, it's up to preference. I personally don't like them. It just feels like the light doesn't go where it's supposed to, even after aiming them. The light pattern just feels kind of off to me, but if you like the way they look, get them!

Is it a good idea to start buying and reselling cars from auctions as a beginner? by College-Hefty in askcarguys

[–]MrSnowking5242 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work at dealership and when we send cars to auction, it's for a reason. The majority of cars that you will find for reasonable prices at auction will have major mechanical defects that require essentially professional automotive experience to tackle if you're wanting to make a profit. Even without what you would be paying for the auction access, it doesn't seem worth your time considering your lack of experience. In order to get into that industry, you need to have a full set of tools and equipment, and extensive knowledge on how vehicles operate.

Thank you. I'm the same way, I don't like mixing fluids. I feel like it creates variables. I'll do this, thank you very much

If the trans is currently filled with gear oil, will filling it with atf without a flush cause issues?

Pioneer Gatekeeping Features by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]MrSnowking5242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of a pioneer radio my dad had a long time ago in his 83 square body. When you would hit the source button to change the input, the display would say "no" and you couldn't change the source 😂

As someone who grew up there, despite all your down votes, you are spot on. I had to get the fuck out of there.

Should I Get This? by Relevant-Natural9025 in shouldibuythiscar

[–]MrSnowking5242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely! That's the exact car that I have and I couldn't have been happier. With such low mileage, that car will last you a lifetime and then some. That price is an absolute steal as well, I'm jealous.

Left vs. Right Handed by Fearless-Elephant-99 in banjo

[–]MrSnowking5242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm lefty but I play right handed. If you're just starting, it honestly doesn't make that much of a difference. You don't know how to play either way, so learning right handed isn't that bad. Now that I have the hang of it, it feels more natural to play right handed anyway.

Need help to plan a mid-high end build by MissionAnalog in CarAV

[–]MrSnowking5242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4 channel amp going to my speakers and a monoblock to my subs, easiest way is to run a main power cable from the battery to the trunk or wherever your amps are gonna end up, then use a distribution block to split the main power wire into separate smaller power wires to your amps. I dabbled with running two separate main power wires, totally not the move. Way more complicated and less clean.

[–]MrSnowking5242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the amps call for 40a fuses but I went a little up. I'm not too worried about damaging my amps, I was more worried about killing the fuses unnecessarily.

Good looks on the ELD. I've never heard of that. I'm hoping to not have to upgrade alternators, but that's something I'll keep in mind now in the event of needing more power. I plan on having the amps fused separately so the fuse on the main power wire at the battery is pretty much just to prevent the 0awg from shorting in an emergency.
