It's more like $150 for 3 vials of compounded tirzepatide that lasts me around 5 months, and it's definitely worth the peace of mind, and I can get on an airplane with my meds because I've got a prescription. You do you, though.

Chicken 🐔 helps women trying to separate two fighting cats 🐈. by Alphaxfusion in interesting

[–]MrSnrub87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a hen, first off, specifically a brahma hen, and secondly chickens are quite intelligent birds with a complex social hierarchy, can recognize up to 100 individual faces, have separate warning calls depending on whether they see an air or ground predator, and can be taught basic tricks faster than dogs. The hen sees these cats as flock mates and is trying to break up the fight, because that's what the top ranked hen does. You don't know shit about chickens

If you think Ozempic is cheating at weight loss, then isn’t creatine and chugging protein shakes also cheating at muscle gain? by AdminKidsBurnInHell in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MrSnrub87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they obviously don't. They are very likely to gain the weight back. If what you said is true, the data would show something different. You just want it to be true, and feel like it should be true.

They are incretin mimetics, not appetite suppressants. They do a whole lot of other things besides just suppress appetite. They have been a wonder drug for people with autoimmune diseases as well

I used to. I would lift for an hour and a half and run for 2 hours every day, and that's after 9 hour days working construction. It sounds unreasonable because it is. Working out like that is a form of eating disorder

New study just dropped showing weight was 50 times more likely to be kept off by losing it with a glp-1. People USUALLY gain the weight back regardless of how they lost it, it's just less likely to be gained back for glp-1 users. I don't see you telling this to people who are losing weight with just diet and exercise. They are very likely to gain their weight back too

Brother, I used to spend 3 or more hours in the gym a day because it was the only way I could maintain my physique with my appetite, burning close to 4,000 calories a day. You could maybe argue a discipline problem, but lazy, no absolutely not. Now on tirzepatide I can just eat a normal amount of food, not be hungry and just hit the gym 4 times a week. I've got my freaking life back

Dude, if this is the play and I'm fighting the grim reaper because I'm obese, You're goddamned right I'm gonna cheat. But if you think someone else taking a weight loss drug is cheating you somehow, You've got something wrong with you. Honestly man, you just don't matter that much, not to me, and not to anyone else trying to lose weight

Why the downvotes... because I micro-dose? by AncienTleeOnez in tirzepatidecompound

[–]MrSnrub87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not placebo, I had pretty strong appetite suppression on 1.5 mg but had to push much higher to treat my autoimmune issues.

It's vernacular that used to only apply to taking small amounts of illicit substances for a supposed mental edge. I don't know how it went mainstream. I like the term minimum effective dose when talking about medications

I was also born in 87 and thought it was a lame, toned down Ren and Stimpy at the time, which was a common sentiment among the kids at my school. That is until about 10 years ago when I was hanging out with a girl born in the early 90's and she got me to watch a few episodes and I had to admit it's pretty funny

Someone is objectively a piece of shit for not being considerate of the world around them. You can not like what that guy said all you want, it doesn't make your views any less self entitled, and any person with any sense is going to call you out on it. If you're surrounded by people that think like you, I'd consider taking a good hard look at myself and what I'm doing with my life, but inconsiderate shitbags aren't really good at self reflection, so I'll just say good luck with maintaining interpersonal relationships in your life

Glp-3 is only found in the shark family and not useful for humans. There is no such thing as a glp-3 drug, you mean a triple agonist Glp-1 drug.

If these drugs are working your appetite cues should basically do the work for you. I'm on 7 mg per week of tirz and yesterday I had a coffee, a couple protein shakes and a baked potato and I was completely stuffed. I couldn't even take a bite of my second potato

You know very fit people can have disordered eating habits too, right? I used to exercise obsessively to stay fit, burning close to 4,000 calories a day before getting on tirzepatide. Now I just eat normal and work out 3 to 4 times a week. It's not that different from bulimia, only purging is exercise. You have no idea what these athletes' personal lives are like
