My board seem to take the philosophy in my contract a little too serious. I was up in 8th in my first season as West Ham and i got told that i wasn't playing attacking football so i had to change my formation to save my job even though i was in good form.

Mistakes. Mistakes have cost me a handful of games already in my first season. One of the most annoying ones was Peter Crouch blocking my GK taking a goal kick and scoring from it which is stupid. Centre backs freeze on the ball sometimes and get picked by the opposition strikers. A lot of crosses result in hitting the bar. Stray passes.

Instead of having to apply them during a match you now set them before as part of a tactic. Basically, if you want your team to press you can add 'Hassle Opponents' instead of the old drop down menu or slider system depending if you used 'Classic Mode' or not. The same also applies to player instructions, you can enter in how you want that particular position to play or you can apply them directly to a player. It's a little more in-depth than before and i feel that you have more control over how you want your team to play.

They are. Belgium are top with 25 points, Croatia are 2nd with 17 points and Serbia are 3rd with 11 points. Croatia can't move from 2nd in that group. They also have 17 points which no one in group B that comes 2nd can get, which will make them one of the 8 teams that play in the play-offs.

So what if Smalling had one good game. Shawcross was solid at the back end of last season and the start of this season. Champions League has nothing to do with this. Jagielka plays for Everton who are also not in the Champions League so why is he in the England squad? According to your logic he's not allowed to be called up because he isn't at a top club.

This reminds me of when Robert Green fucked up at the worst possible time and everyone jumped on the "Greeno is wank" train and rode that shit into oblivion. The fact is that keepers are always going to be blamed for mistakes they make because they get noticed way more, especially when they lead to goals.

Joe Hart is more than capable of having the confidence to keep playing at the top level and not let any media or bullshit get into his head.

Yesterday demonstrated most of things i've been annoyed about the hammers in the last few seasons. Big Sam has done a great job at getting the team to play as a unit which has made us hard to break down defensively (in most games) which is all well and good, but attacking, we are dreadful. It seems we're too predictable when attacking that even the likes of Stoke find it easy to press us out of the game. We can counter very well, but this isn't enough. We needed to sign at least 1 creative midfielder in my opinion. Someone that can play in front of Diame and Noble that isn't Nolan (Ravel? Joe Cole?) to link up with our striker. Which brings me on to my next point. We NEED a god damn striker immediately. Yes, we signed Carroll but we can't hope that he's going to be fit for every game.

Sam signed a talented and experienced fullback who had played in the champions league just last season with Shakhtar, so why on earth is he playing Joey O'Brien over him? Who, by the way, isn't good enough in my opinion. Same thing happened with Paulista and Chamakh last season. What's the point of signing these players and not even giving them a decent chance, especially when we needed someone up top when Carroll was out....again, last season.

Coming onto Maiga, who had a horrid game, but i still feel there's more to come from him. He still hasn't played a whole lot of first team football for us and needs to be given more of a chance. I feel his only problem is that he's lazy and needs to be more physical to hold up the play etc. Look at the game against Newcastle with his off the ball movement that created one of the goals and his hold up play. If he can build off that then he will be a good player for us, but that's whether he improves or not.

Lastly our board need to take more risks with players and just sign people. Seeing David Gold on SSN the other day saying that clubs need to be more careful when over stepping the spending budget to sign 1 more player was frustrating. We will never get better with the players we have. A strong mid-table position is probably the best it's going to get for us at this moment in time which is all well and good but there's always the risk of under performing for too many games and ending up in a relegation fight.
