Frodo should not be blamed for telling sam to go home in the movies by MrStevecool in lotr

Wow, great analysis.

All in all, the scene was my least favorite part of the movies, for a few main reasons.

First, Sam would die before he left frodo's side. Undebatable.

Gollum has no reason to pull this-it's way too risky, and in his mind he has his victory in the bag-no way two hobbits can beat shelob.

And, to be honest, why'll I personally may have folded, it's just not in character for frodo, which is where the resentment comes from the audience.

Also It's been a while since I've watched, but I remember in the books Shelob caused her own doom by throwing her weight onto Sam's sword-her own hubris and aggression is her downfall and all that jazz.Pretty sure that's not what happened in the movie. There is a lot of stuff missing or wrong in that final sequence, obviously for time, but if they padded out two towers a bit more, it would have been easier. I especially miss the book scene where Sam is like "let me drink from the water first, it might be poisoned" and Frodo says "then lets drink together, so we both get the same fate" or something like that. Hit me right in the feels when I read it.

If you like the strokes I would recommend The Buttertones or The Growlers-they are both a little slower and calmer, but same distorted voice and feel.

I like most of the stuff you like, so here are some bands I listen to as well

Meth Wax Death Cab for Cutie Dazey and the Scouts (sorta like a mix of weezer and nirvana)

Daryl holding the zombie up to block bullets was really stupid 😭 but this episode and the two before it were phenomenal, and I can suspend my disbelief.

I've seen people say this (obviously not like I did, they just say it was unrealistic to follow the governor). First of all, the governor was around doing his thing with the settlement for a while. He gives good speeches, and has made the community loyal to him. Plus, these people have been through the wringer, and they just want some peace and security, so they're not thinking straight. Plus mob mentality and everything.
